great course for all levels
white wing is a really nice course. the first time i played there i didn't realize it was a retirement community. i felt a little out of place being a twentysomething, but everyone was extremely friendly. the two times i've played have been very different. the first time the pace of play was quite slow, but on this day it was very fast despite being a gorgeous day.
the course is very well maintained. actually these are my favorite fairways in town. the greens are well kept and very tricky. playing from the blue tees the course is very short and not too difficult. from the gold tees it's a good challenge.
i definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for a relaxing round.

Not only pristine but beautiful
All of the Georgetown Sun City courses are always in great shape, well cared for and fun to play plus being a great value on GolfNow. It is an unusual place abounding with golf carts but very well put together with 3 amazing golf course which add up to lots and lots of fun and great golf. Highly recommend Sun City golf.

Nice course
Played shotgun format on Monday afternoon and I had a blast. Very cool course the kind you could play a lot and never get tired of. The locals I was grouped with were awesome.

Storm play
Played 2/25/2013 with winds from 35mph up to 55mph. Almost unplayable conditions. Ball moved by wind on green and green were super fast. At 135lbs, I had difficulties to stand still and hit several shots off center, body moved by wind during swing. The good thing is that I was almost alone on the course! one drive 175y against wind and on next hole, same swing gave 295y. Only way to reach greens on regulation is by pitch and run, if you're lucky enough to be downwind and close to green. Against the wind, most par 4 became par 5.

A must play course
Although the drive for me to this course is well over an hour it is normally well worth it. The course can get tough from the tips. The first couple of holes give you a false sense of ability. The course is beautiful during the Spring and Summer months and the greens are always soft and receptive (and green) year around. I took a friend this time who had never played White Wing before and unfortunately a foursome of members did not impress him with their pace of play and their complete disregard for the fact that we waited nearly every shot behind them for thirteen holes until they quit and went in. We played the last three holes with little to no Sun light left. No worries he still loved the course and it's still one of my favorites.

I have played this course for almost four years and it always presents a challenge from either tee boxes played!

Beautiful Hill Country layout.
First time visit to White Wing.....absolutely enjoyed the layout. Course, fairways and greens in great shape, especially for mid-December. Greens were moderately fast with multiple breaks. A number of fairways are tight and guarded by trees, and with hidden shots. But quickly found out that playing smart shots and club selections was the best thing to do.
Hooked up with some great playing partners who helped make the round enjoyable as well. Staff was very helpful taking care of delayed starts due to frost. Would definitely play again when in the area.

Great price, nice course
Good course, nice scenery and #11 was fun to play, it tore me up. Will play it again when I can. #18 also very chanlleging. Had a very good time with the landscape and all golf holes.

Winter round at White Wing
For winter conditions the course is in great shape. Greens were smooth, little to no ball marks. Fairways were going dormant but in good shape. Sand traps have a lot of sand.
Just don't hit in to them. This particular day light wind so conditions were good. On a windy day can be bruttle. Examply 500+ yard number 9 can play like 600 from the tips.
Tough but fun greens. I like this course.

This course was very slow paced.
I was a bit frustrated with this course. I paid some decent money to play golf, not wait 20-30 minutes at each whole. There were groups of 4-8 seniors playing together. I have no problem with waiting a little bit to tee off, but the back up was ridiculous. I tried going around a group at the 5th whole, oh what a mistake. I ended up leaving because the whole course all the way to the 18th hole was backed up. Sorry white wing, you have a beautiful course, but that was a waste of money.

Of the 3 Sun City Georgetown courses, White Wing has the best layout. greens are fast on downhill putts. Plus, good value for the money. Highly recommend this gem of a course.

This is a fairly tight course, driving the ball well is key.
White Wing is a great course for those who want to challenge themselves to hit smart shots off the tee. The fairways are in great shape, the greens are extremely quick and pin placement will dictate how well you score. Try to play the course with someone who is familiar with it so you can take advantage of their knowledge.

This course had greens that were perfect & fast.
The course was in overall beautiful condition and the greens were pure. It is perhaps more challenging for women as it seemed long. But, it was so beautiful, I didn't really mind. As they were quite busy, my husband and I were placed with 2 other Golf Now golfers. They were fun to meet & we all had a great time. The 1:46 tee time had us finishing at dark but we did finish. All together an excellent experience. We will do it again. Thanks for the terrific price too.

super fast greens
Great course.... Met two great gents and had a blast talking travel withthem. I felt a little like I was trespassing in the proshop at check in, but all of the courses up in Sun City are like that. I chalk it up to just a bunch of old guys that forgot their Flowmax that morning. Their collective attitudes don't detract from the three great courses up there. White wing is the hardest of the three.... just my opinion

Fast greens, excellent condition
The course is in a retirement community, with a friendly staff. The course was in an absolute excellent condition, wish I lived closer to it and it would become my go-to.
