Nice Golf Getaway
Golf Club at the Resort is a bit of a drive from downtown Fort Worth, but I believe an ultimately worthwhile one. The setting of the course, out in the country, makes the whole trip. It's actually quiet back there as opposed to many of the noisy and busy courses along highways, etc...
Once the course gets in better shape from the winter, this will be a great bargain. The greens are nice and the course is fun. Beware the back 9 though, very challenging. #16 might be the toughest hole in DFW.
Only mild inconvenience was that it had rained the day before, so it was cart path only. That's never fun. Especially when you see members in their red carts driving all over the course anyway. But when my cart was literally 3 feet off the path, and had been on the path all day, a marshal certainly felt the need to remind me it was "cart path only". Perhaps they should consider applying the same rules to all players, even the one's who live there, in the future.

This is a challenge.
Plays very tight. Pays to play the fairway. Use your card map and save yourself several strokes. Greens are very quick but true. Had a great time and will be back. Course won yesterday.My turn next time!!!

Ran out of carts before 1:00
Didnt get to play, they ran out of carts and we had a tee time for 2:00. Poor management that day.

This course is perhaps the most challenging course in the DFW.
This course is perhaps the most challenging course in the DFW. However, I find it to be fair. From the tee box, long ball hitters are rewarded for accuracy are punished commensurable for errant shots. From the fairway, one must be attentive to detail: fairway lies, wind direction and speed, smaller than normal greens that are framed larger from the fairway than what they actual are. Some greens are protected from the wind and some you will wish were. On the greens, the surfaces are fast undulated and true. There are few surprises. A good read with good speed will give you a chance. Bye the way, did I mention that the greens are fast.
With all of that said, the course is a strategic course. If you know where to aim and what to hit and can hit those spots .......you will do very well. The course plays much longer than what it is.
If the course was located elsewhere in the DFW, it might be the premier course of the Southwest.

Challenging course at a great price!
I have played this course a handful of times over the past year, and it has consistently been one of my favorites in DFW. The layout is fun and challenging, the conditions are very good, and the staff is helpful and courteous; all at a fraction of the price of many other courses in the area.
I believe that this course is one of the 1 or 2 highest rated (slope and difficulty) courses in the area, and it definitely shows. While a few of the holes are not the longest, the hazards, hills, bunkers, small green sizes, and significant rough demand your attention on virtually every hole. You will definitely use every club in your bag, and will probably need a few extra balls. I have visited this course during 3 seasons (it's Texas, so take that with a grain of salt), and the conditions have been above average every time. All bunkers have been rock-free, the greens in great shape, and the fairways neatly kept. The back nine is especially challenging, and the pace has never been a problem.
Overall, I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a challenge without breaking the bank. A great course.

the course had some cool features.
this course must be one of the best kept secrets . I say this because layout is great and each hole challenges a certain aspect of your game . One thing for sure is that the greens are fair. The practice green however, could use some work because it does not represent the greens on the course. The water came into play beautifully, testing you appproach each time. I just wish the grill was working . THat would have completed the experience. It is under construction. Overall , great experience . I would definately make it out there again.

To pricey for winter play
I'm sure this is a great looking course in the summer but it lacks "play appeal" in the winter, prices should reflect this for winter play.

Closed, despite reservation
Despite Golfnow reservation and confirmation going through and a subsequent confirmation email from the Golf Club at the Resort pro shop, the entire facility was closed for the day when our three-some showed up.
The temperature was 40 degrees and rising, so temperature is not an excuse for closure. All of the greens we could see were covered.
My biggest issue with this particular booking was that there was NO courtesy call from GC at the R. It was a long drive for one of our three playing, or I should say planning to play.
And when we pulled away I pulled up the course on my Golfnow app on my phone and they STILL had available tee times for the day.
Completely unacceptable, unprofessional of this facility. The security guard at the gated entry of the housing division where the course is located wasn't even aware of the course closure.

Okay for the Golf Now price, but will not go back
Long drive to course; no "Grill" in clubhouse - so don't plan to eat lunch there; course covered in leaves - hard to find ball even in the middle of the fairway. Carts need GPS - hit up on group in front of us because of many blind spots.

Poor Management.
Poor course conditions, fairways like cement, 5.5 hr round, no marshall on the course, groups playing 5 somes, on a Sunday afternoon? Our Tee time was delayed, started 30 min late? I really didn't get it. They need to hire a real management company because currently I beleive they don't have one. It coud be a nice course but it takes effort and they just don't get it.

This course makes you use every club in your bag!
This by far is one of the best courses I've ever played!! Fairways are super and the greens were true, quick and just plain Fantastic!! I'm coming to play here as much as I can. Thanks to the staff and grounds people for all their hard work!!

Great course for the price!
The course was in excellent condition. Great lay-out without any squirrely holes. Front side is slighly easier than the back. Back side gets progressively harder as you reach 18. Greens were in great shape. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience.

Very challenging and fun course.
I've played this course about 6 times and really like it. It was very windy - 25 mph+ gusts which made some holes very difficult. The course is in nice shape, the greens are quick. My only issue would be the lack of distance markers for a course that does not have GPS on the carts. The staff is friendly and responsive. My cart died and they responded immediately. It's location is a bit out of the way for many but it has a nice variety of holes and is fun to play.

This course was in great shape
I really enjoyed playing this course. As a beginner, the course was very challenging, however not unplayable. The greens were in great shape and very fast. Will be returning soon!

Clean, well maintained and a fun challenge.
played the first 9 holes for our first visit to the course. We enjoyed it and played as fast as we wanted...no waiting.

The layout is challenging but course in poor condition. Fairways need a lot of work
Greens okay but rolled slow. Fairways were in poor condition. Layout was great. Most of the holes challenging. Staff very friendly. At present time I would not pay over $25.00 to play

Challenging slope
This is a beautiful and well maintained golf course. Challenging features like hidden hazards lots of elevation changes and long par 4s. I've played twice here and will go back.

Nice Layout
Course is layed out nicely. Has some tight fairways which make for some difficult holes. Greens and traps are kept in good condition; overall you can't beat the price especially twilight.

very nice course and staff
The Resort is one of the nices courses on the NW side of the metroplex. Nice conditions, friendly staff, and it doesn't take all day to play. As a twosome we played in less than a3 hours.
