Disappointing. Disappointing. I took my two adult sons and I'm glad we only paid twilight fees and not full greens fee. Two greens were damaged and included ground under repair. We knew going in about the two, but virtually all the greens had bad patches on them. The greens did not roll true due to roughness. Still had a lot of sand visible on greens. Greens were not receptive to approach shots. Tee boxes and fairways were fine. Beware until you confirm conditions are much better. The concept is great, but I can find much better conditioned courses for the same or less money and not an hour drive from home. August 18, 2014
Horrible Condition Course I was looking forward to playing this course, but I wish I had played somewhere else. The 2nd green was almost 3/4 roped as GUR, we had to pick up our balls and move to the next hole. When we arrived there were no range balls to hit, even after we went to the pro shop and told them. We had to drive out to the range and get some balls ourselves. The greens were in horrible shape, I would not play this course again! August 12, 2014
Fun idea, not yet perfected Had a blast playing this course! Great idea- the holes really present similar challenges to their model holes and each hole has a description of why the hole is so famous. When I went there were 2 greens with larges dead areas and they had been recently sanded so it was tough to put/ chip otherwise it was a 5-star experience! Will be even more fun to play this course in a few years as the trees continue to grow making the course tighter and more challenging like the real holes! August 12, 2014
Worst golf course in the metroplex? From the condition of the course to the 10 year old range balls recycled from water hazards this was easily the worst golf experience I have ever had in 16 years of playing golf in D/FW. Avoid at all costs. Owned by the Lee Family, it seems their golf course management model is to let the course slide into disarray. August 12, 2014
The course needs help! The greens were in very bad shape, and the fairways not much better. Lots of areas needed mowing, and when mowed the grass clippings remained. Very disappointed as I was hoping to treat my friend to a great golf experience. Better off playing a cheaper municipal course. It has been a while since I've play Tour 18, and it will be allot longer before I return. August 11, 2014
Novelty Course in Poor Condition I have been hearing about how fun and great Tour 18 was since moving to Dallas 3 years ago and have been interested in playing ever since. Finally, I decided to check it out. The staff was very friendly and the course was a fun layout based on the theme, however the conditions were very poor. The practice tee had a very limited number of balls and even a few of them were broken. The practice green was poorly maintained and for the money, you would think there may have been an area to practice short game. I can't base my whole review on the practice facility because obviously, when you pay close to $100 for a round it's not for the warm up. This being said, almost every green was very poor with dried up divot marks everywhere and impossible to judge the roll. There were multiple greens that were roped off for repair with an actual putting area of about 10-15 feet or less in diameter. With as many people having personal GPS devices(ie. GPS watch, range finder, hand held devices, phone apps) it wasn't a big deal to me that there wasn't GPS on the cart, however for the amount of money, I was expecting to have it available. The marshal did provide a voucher for a discounted rate for Monday - Thursday afternoon, due to the known issues on the greens, however I don't think I could ever use it because unless you are retired, a teacher with summers off, or a wealthy student with a free summer, it is very difficult to play at that time. It was a nice gesture though. In my opinion, they should have just charged less for the round with poor conditions that way I wouldn't have expected so much more. Unfortunately, I think the drink and chicken sandwich after the round was the best part. I really hope this was a fluke and the conditions improve so I can try playing again and feel like I received a good value, but until I hear it has completely changed I will pay $30-$40 less for a course with better conditions and value. tour 18 A lot of fun to play. Some greens were not good but overall the greens were good. The staff was great even gave all of us $25.00 off next round for a year. August 11, 2014
Tired Old Course Nice layout but needs substantial updating. Bunkers have been poorly maintained for years now. Greens are poor at best. Two greens are unplayable. Staff is friendly, but will not be playing this course again until I know it is much better. August 11, 2014
