Tour 18 Golf Course Dallas
This was a great course, especially for the money. Getting to play some of the holes you see on TV is something hard to pull off, but this course does a good job at it. It's obviously a little different, but for a fun, challenging experience you can't go wrong.

Looks great plays great
Played it when they recently had punched greens but still the course was fun and greens rolled true even with sand! They rolled the sand so greens were still quick. I loved the course and will play it again!

I like this course and I bring my friends here to play golf whenever they come from other cities.
I like to paly here because the folks are freindly and course itself is challenging.

The layout was very good. Challenging and the green were lightning fast.
Overall the course was in good condition. Some of the fairways have not grown in yet due to it being early spring. The greens and tee boxes were in excellent shape. The greens were firm and fast. I would play this course again when I am in the area.

Challenging course, very friendly staff. Had a great time here, not very crowed and the course was in great condition for this time of the year.

Pace of is exceptionally slow. Played on a Monday afternoon and had a 5 1/2 hour round. No Marshall to regulate pace of play.
There are winter greens and then there are these. These greens are poor at best. When the wind blows ball won't hold and keeping the ball below the hole is a must.
This course used to be amOng my favorites but I will not be coming back. Very disappointing and a terrible value.

Unique course and fun to play but challenging
Fun to play historic holes and visually appealing. The most challenging aspect of playing are the greens. Very fast with a lot of slope. Several had so much slope that a putt up the hill would roll back to you if it missed the hole. So that can be frustrating and seam a bit unfair. But overall a very enjoyable experience.

Intriguing course, greens inconsistent
Tour 18 is an intriguing course, challenging and fun to play when in good shape. This time the greens were inconsistent. They have been too fast a couple of times earlier, but now some greens were also surprisingly slow. It is not fun when on one hole (#15) you have a 20 feet uphill putt and the ball rolls back to your feet after it went up and looked at the hole, and on next hole (#16) you putt downhill and the ball goes only half the distance you expect it to roll.

Fun and challenging, beautiful course.
Played course for the first time yesterday. Lovely clubhouse and genuinely helpful and courteous employees. For being mid February I and my playing partners were amazed at the green grass and upkeep of greens. Of course still being cold the bunkers were fairly packed, and some spots on the fairways where shot tend to accumulate were riddled with untreated divots, but nothing to severe. A great course in a quiet beautiful neighborhood. Will definitely play again.

Great Customer Appreciation Day
I traveled 500 miles to take a couple of DFW area customers out for lunch and golf. While the weather was 'iffy' (mid-50's) we had a great day. I made the pre-arrangements via golfnow, the fees were a bargain, and it was hassle free in the proshop.
We had lunch in the clubhouse and it was quiet so we could take care of business before we teed off. The menu was very limited, and the fryer was down, but the service was attentive so I'm just giving it a passing "C" grade.
The course had an inch of rain the day before so the starter recommended we play 'lift and clean' for our round and he had other suggestions for us to make the day more pleasant. This personal touch was a nice way to get us off and going. He also strongly recommended we not play the tips because with the soft conditions we weren't going to get much roll; and he couldn't have been more spot on. As it was, the blue tees were still too much for one of my customers (9 handicap) and me (11) and way too challenging for the 20 handicapper as 97 was low score for the day.
For wet and winter conditions, the course was in nice shape. The greens were true, very fast, and the ball marks I mentioned in my review from a previous visit were not an issue this time. Actually I believe the greens were too fast for my game as I left a bunker shot on the par 3 number 5 above the hole with a front pin placement. I announced that I was just going to lag it near the hole and I had no intention of trying to make my first putt. It still rolled down to the front of the green, leaving me a 15 footer going back up. My second putt was a beauty just missing 2 inches hole high but the wind moved it and it ended up back at my feet. Not fun four putting when I felt I made 4 good strokes.
The course was marshalled and he let us know our pace was fine (still a 4 3/4 hour round) on his frequent passes. Our cart also ran out of juice on the back 9 but the marshall happened upon us just as she died and made the switch to his cart for us. Impeccable timing.
All in all - I left with happy customers and that was the bottom line.

Course is in great shape for February!
Tour 18 overseeded this winter and it shows. The course is in great shape. All the fairways and greens are green, the rough is brown. Always a tough and long course.

This was the second time I have played here and it is still an outstanding experience. I took two people who had never been before and it well exceeded their expectations.

Could be a little better.
18 holes, not 1 single ball washer had water in it. There were no balls on the driving range and this at 12:30. No club washers anywhere. For a very expensive course with no gps in carts it would have been nice to have had a few more markings on the course for yardage. I do appreciate it being offered on Golfnow at a very good price.

Bunkers under repair, cart path under repair, cart was dripping wet when e got it. Expected much better from Tour 18.

The overall layout is very challenging as it should be considering the holes represent some of the toughest holes from famous courses. Its not your standard cookie cutter course.

Great Price, Great Shape
Great price and the course is in great shape. Couldn't ask for a better winter round of golf.

Great staff and fun course
As with most courses in the winter they are doing maintenance so there are many places marked ground under repair. But the course was well maintained and play was unaffected by work in progress. Greens were really fast. Course staff was great when our cart ran out of juice - we called clubhouse and had a new cart delivered within 10 minutes.
Difficult track that will challenge folders to not just grip'n rip, but plan approach to holes. Private club feel with public access.

Great course! It is in great shape.
I really enjoyed this course yesterday. The fairways were nice and green as were the greens which is great for this time of the year. It was very cold when we played but we had a good time anyway thanks t the condition of the course and the staff being so friendly.

Great Value this time!
I played Tour 18 in 2011 and the course was in POOR condition. I said I'd never play it again, because for the money I could play 3 other decent courses in DFW. But then I heard they had new ownership and/or greens keeper plus I got a GolfNow deal for $29.99 so I didn't want to pass it up.
The course was in remarkable shape for the time of year. It was refreshing to play on GREEN fairways and the greens were in very good shape. Sand traps were poor but that is expected with rain and weather.
Overall I was very satisfied with the experience and was swayed to think that I'll play this course again.

Great shape needs new pin placement
The course was in very good winter shape. The pin placements are limited due to the massive slopes in the greens. There were 2 pin placements on slopes where the ball would roll back 5 feet if you misses the hole. Besides that the course was great.

While the holes aren't identical to the originals ( we didn't expect them to be) the course was in very good shape for late December and was an extremely fun and enjoyable round. The course is extremely peaceful and you feel much farther away from the city than you are. I look forward to getting back out and playing this one again.

Difficult Course Made Tougher By Conditions
I've played Tour 18 Dallas many times and it always tears me up. I'm about a 8 handicap, but it demands that you hit specific shots for the hole and a lot of course knowledge. However, there are a lot of things that need to happen to make it worth the price to play. I played it back in September after a recent rain. The greens were pretty good considering the hot temperatures, but the course had been parched by the hot summer temperatures and the grass conditions were poor. Addtionally the bunkers needed to be redone in a bad way and not just because it had rained.
Fast forward to December. The grass conditions were pretty good with overseeding on the tee boxes and fairways. The greens were fast and true. It would be nice if people would fix their ball marks on the greens or the Marshalls could do it. Speaking of the Marshalls (or Marshall in this case), we were playing at a pretty good pace and he kept pushing us to speed up even though we were not holding uip the course. The course had moderate play on that day, but nothing to warant being harrassed the way we were on the front nine. He was nonexistent on the back nine.
The main issue now is that the course needs to rework thier bunkers. They have started on some, but the sand in them seems like it came from whatever source was available and is extremely fluffy. In other bunkers your sand wedge bottoms out on clay and skulls the ball across the green.
I will probably play it again since it is a real test of your game. I don't think I have broken 80 there once and that's the goal, but it does need to improve things.

Great course! Definitely a challenge.
We didn't get to finish the last 2 holes. Probably would have been a little better if there had not been a tournament going on ahead of us. It slowed us down. But, worth the amount of money we paid!
December 10, 2012
really liked all the dif holes. loved the view from hole 1
loved the view. really nice tee box's and greens, staff was friendly.
December 8, 2012
Greens and fairways are overseeded for the winter, however, due to severe undulation few of the greens are almost unplayable the ball can go past the hole and roll back to your feet.
December 6, 2012
A once in a lifetime experience to play those holes you've always seen on television.
Tour 18 is a very unique course. It was very well maintained for Novemeber. We were expecting to have a lot of leaves on the fairways, but they had been cleaned off. Leaves in the rough, however. The greens were very fast, though nicely soft for pitching to them. The undulating greens are a real challenge, but you want them to be if you are playing the course of professional play. Example: on the Sawgrass island hole, if you are at the back (top) of the green, it is very hard to get the ball to the hole without rolling all the way off - that in itself was an accomplishment. A great course, and a lot of fun.
