Tour 18 Golf Course Dallas
Magnificent exam of one's ability. We played when it was both wet and windy, so we were overmatched.
Makes you appreciate those guys playing on tv.

Nice Course, Fun to Play
Given the mixed review, we did not know what to expect. We added this course at the last mintue, and glad we did. A very nice overall experience. The course was in very good condition given the time of year, and compared to the other courses we played. Fairways, greens, and traps in good condtion. Greens held shots, and were fast. Really liked the layout, and explanatoin of each hole it was modeled after. There could be a bit more landscaping to give some of the holes a more authentic look (esp around Amen corner), but overall a very good experience. It was worth the drive and the money to play. I would play this course again.

Course was in fair condition
Course has an excellent layout but it wasn't in ver good condition. Additionally, after the round there we wanted to get lunch but there was no one in the clubhouse to serve us so we left and ate on the way home

My 18yr son has been after me for a couple of years to play at Tour 18 Dallas. Yesterday we finally made it. The last time played here in 2006-2007. It's definitely lost its one time glory. Cart path issues, bunkers, especially fairway bunkers were in bad shape. I know we are coming out of winter, but still not up to standards as they once were. SLOW play on the back 9. Marshall was present and did absolutely NOTHING to groups ahead of us as they played mulitple shots from the tees.
We still had fun and I enjoyed my son's reaction to all of the holes especially Amen Corner. Won't be back...

We caught a cold drizzly day, and the grass (expect for the greens) was still in its dormant early spring phase. But what a treat. There are 18 great holes of golf on this course, and I played well so it was particularly enjoyable.
I would recommend that you give it a shot if you are ever in the Dallas area.

Good and Bad
For the price I would have expected the fairways to be in much better condition. The greens were super fast and inconsistent but in very good condition. Tee's were in good condition as well. Liked the layout of the different well known holes. You end up paying for the club atmosphere for the sub-division that exists throughout the golf course but that's to be expected I assume.
I won't be back only because there are so many better values for what you pay, all over the DFW metro plex. It's enjoyable for just the one visit to say you played Tour 18, that's about it.

Most courses that reproduce golf holes from around the world give you a hole that vaguely reminds you of what they are trying to reproduce. This course nails it!! Best I've seen. Hats off to the architects at this one.

2nd time here. Staff was great. Nice clubhouse. Challenging course w/ good replica's. Nice practice areas. Glad I only paid $49. I wouldn't play here at full price or anymore than $49;
-No GPS in carts despite well marked fairway yardages
-carts IMO outdated
-in correct pin placement card
-marshals non-existent. 4:40 min round. People need to learn if they're chipping or putting a long away for double or worse NEED TO PICK UP THE BALL! And needs to be enforced. It's a disease everywhere...not just blaming this course. Kept getting hit into.
-we saw the beverage cart 3x in almost 5 hours. And didn't see it for the entire front 9 (teed off at 1230)
-quite a few water stops did not have cups...yikes? Glad it wasn't 90+ deg!
I hate to be nit-picky but the grandeur of a Tour 18 should not have these problems. I will be back...but for no more than $50.
