Rated 3 out of 5 by Tour 18 - Fun Course. Conditions Very Average We played as a twosome on a late Friday afternoon. A group of four players and one rider was a hole in front of us. We waited on every shot for the entire front side. A marshal did ride out to them on the 3rd hole and we hoped that would help either speed them up or for them to let us play through. Neither happened until the 10th hole. Once we played through we breezed around not seeing another golfer. Our total time on the course was 4 hours. Which is a pretty good time considering it was a Friday evening. Without the delay we could have played in 2.5 hours. The clubhouse was in decent shape and the pro shop attendants were friendly. We grabbed a burger and a beer each before the round. The food was better than average and the price was about what you would expect to pay. The lady at the bar could have been a little more friendly and attentive but overall it was about what you expect at a public golf course bar and grill. The course is a fun and challenging layout. There are multiple tees. I thought the front 9 was pretty forgiving off the tee. That would change on the back nine. The fairways were in good shape except for a couple of holes. They were laying new sod in places and the fairways were very wet and unplayable. The bunkers were raked but if you hit the ball near the edges it would plug or bury. Both of us had to play buried shots each and we both found our ball partially plugged on other shots. I guess if you hit it in the hazard that's what you get. I enjoyed playing Amen Corner and 17th at Sawgrass. The par 3 with the bunker in the middle of the green could really anger some people off if they found their way into it. The biggest issue I had with the course were the greens. They varied in speed a great deal and some of the greens were slower than others. The first 4-5 greens were very hairy and all of the greens were bumpy. I think they punched them a month or more and didn't sand or roll them?? Either way you could tell there were depressions all over the greens similar to aeration holes. They should have healed much better than they have. Replica courses are never as good as you hope they will be. So forget they are even replicas and just play them for what they are, well designed golf holes. September 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Challenging and scenic with golf history but not worth value We paid $71 per person and senior rate for brother did not apply since discount only offered on Tuesday and Wednesday's per golf staff. Course layout is great and scenic. Many holes had large areas of fairway being replaced so not as ice as expected. For this price should be pristine condition. Greens not any different from more reasonable courses played in DFW area. If want history and recreation of holes around world then nice to see but just do it once as value not worth it. Staff friendly and food good. September 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Time... I took my sons their for their birthday. It was great getting to play some of golf's most challenging holes. The staff was beyond friendly and you get to see some outstanding homes while playing. September 27, 2015

Rated 4 out of 5 by Tour 18 Course was in excellent shape. Outside amenities not so much. Driving range had very few balls. Ball and club washer smelled as if it was the original water in them. Not disappointed but would have been if I paid full price. September 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Can't go wrong at Tour 18 The fairways are recovering but still have some bare spots. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with Tour 18. It is a beautiful course and a lot of fun to play. September 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Make your own history Enjoy the history of each hole, and then tee it up and make your own history of playing that hole. Lends appreciation to what the pros make look so easy on the TV broadcast. Very nice facilities, practice area with huge green, all bunkers in really good condition. September 21, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Fun and challenging but course not in great shape. Course is in much better conditions than prior visits in 2014 and 2012. Tee boxes are generally good, most fairways are pretty good and the greens finally don't have any bare spots sand on them. There are about 4 holes where a lot of the fairways are completely burnt out but the rest are ok. Tee boxes have some of the same issues. But, they seem to have put in a lot of work because the conditions are much better than they've been in the last 3 years. The course is fun and challenging, but it's pretty far out in the suburbs and the rack rate is still too high for the condition the course is in. If asked a year ago, I wouldn't go back, but I played in a charity event this time, and now I'd go back. But, I'd wait another year to see how some of the condition improvement efforts are going. The course is fun and challenging, but I'd say it's a place to try once a year or so rather than regularly. September 18, 2015
