One of the first things you will notice about our championship golf course is the ultra-smooth SR 1020 Bentgrass greens. These greens roll as smooth as any that you have ever played on. Our tree-lined fairways and multiple elevation changes create the perfect venue for golf. Runaway Bay's meticulously manicured course, with its beautiful views of Lake Bridgeport and the surrounding area, provides an up-close look at the splendor Mother Nature has to offer.

a little shaggy but not bad for time of year Greens are nice bent and roll pretty true.fairways and box's a little shaggy but a texas course in early spring not bad. Not too difficult but fun. burgers are great! March 31, 2014
Great Course Very fun course, was very green for being early spring. I loved the layout of the course. Not too difficult, and pace of play was pretty good. Will definitely be playing here again. March 30, 2014
59Digit Not bad, For the money , I just think that a lot of Texas golf courses are suffering from the drought , so being what it is Golf is fun and challenging no matter where you play, I will be playing this course again!!! March 22, 2014
Hidden Gem This is a great course to play. Elevation changes on most holes and bentgrass greens that putt great. Carts have GPS. GPS gives you tips at each tee shot. It is well worth the drive. I live an hour away. I played as a single and ended up playing 36 holes. Replay rate was $13. Players there were friendly and let me play thru when I caught up to them. Pace of play was great. I teed off at 11:08 and left at 4:45. Got a cheeseburger and fries to go after the first 18 and can recommend the burgers. Staff is always very friendly. I really enjoy playing golf courses that are hidden gems and not crowded. If you pay the regular rate I think it is worth the drive and if can book a discounted tee time that is even better.
