Bent Creek Golf Course 3.3 5 139 139
Great shape and great views! I was hoping to play a round of golf in March, having endured a very cold winter in NE Ohio. Staying in Gatlinburg and not wanting to go far to play, I found Bent Creek to be a terrific course, great views, great value, and super condition for this time of year. The staff of one fine young man was very accommodating and paired with me two older gents with local knowledge. Needless to say, i enjoyed golfing in the Smokies! April 5, 2015
Greens still suffering from winter Greens are in very poor condition from winter, bumpy and devoid of grass in many spots. All grass is still dormant. Front nine crosses over a busy road several times, esp from back tees. Smallest track of land for nine holes I have ever played. Back nine is more interesting but funky. Forced layups due to blind shots. Stayed on property but wouldn't play it again in this condition. April 3, 2015
Still early This early in the season, Course was in fair condition, but I suspect it will get better as summer approaches. Fairways were wet/soft and greens were slow. Front 9 was more flat and open, with back 9 more hilly and more blind shots (course knowledge/management a plus!). Overall a fun course to play. March 24, 2015
Great views Played on a really wet day so fairways were swampy. Greens were a little rough of the front side, but the views on the back 9 made up for it. Workers were really helpful and friendly. Would play this course again on a dryer day. Front was really open and back tightened up a bit. Overall decent course for the money I paid. March 23, 2015
Do not go here. First there was an additional fee of $2 per person when we showed up even though it was already booked and paid for. Then there was no drinks or food for purchase. Not even water to drink. The fairways and rough was in decent shape but the greens were awful. I will never go back to this place and would advise you to do the same. March 19, 2015
Nice course, 2 different 9's made for an Experience It is a nice course and I would play it again for sure. We went early spring so the greens were nothing special but that is to be expected this time of year. One 9 is in the valley, the other in the mountain so it is really like playing 2 different courses which made it quite the enjoyable experience. Booked through Golfnow and the price was great but the clubhouse charged me a $6 environmental fee and when asked what it was for, even the guy in the clubhouse didn't know. I have never been charged an extra fee when booking through Golfnow. I felt it very odd but certainly wasn't going to let 6 bucks ruin my day. I would play this course again when in the area. OK It's a decent course. The greens are terrible and that's why I'll probably not go back. February 9, 2015
Good fun course Played this course for the first time. Staff was real friendly and helpful with outlay of course.Course was somewhat challenging due to the creeks. We lost some balls but retrieved twice as many as we lost in the creek. The greens were slow. Don't know what type of grass they use on the greens . Some blemish problems on the green but nothing bad enough to spoil the day. Sand traps guard the greens from the front and some on the sides. Not too many traps on the fairway. We fully enjoyed the round and will return to play again soon. December 16, 2014
