The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes.

The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.

Golf w the Wife Had great time w wife who is just learning. Course was challenging enough that we didnt hold anyone up though it was still a good challenge for me. Starter and other staff were quite friendly and acommodating. Most holes encourage you to hit right or left due to serious hazards(water,woods,homes,etc.). Left feeling good an not too beatup. Going back again in a couple days. October 14, 2014
Good value and conditions If you are looking for an average course layout with good fairways and greens, this is a good value. I played here because it was 10mins from my hotel and $35 on Golfnow. Otter was nothing special but Fox course had some character. Each 9 holes is about 3300 yards from the tips, so it is a good course to play with the wife or high handicappers, as they have 5 sets of tees. October 13, 2014
ROGC-River Oaks Golf Course Enjoyed the Fox and Otter. Tho couple holes we were held up by course maintenace, seeding and fertilizing. This slowed the greens as they immediately watered the greens after fertilizing. For the price, would play it again. Enjoyed the round. October 12, 2014
This course good value for the price Course was in good condition. Greens a little sandy but not bad. Would definitely recommend this course and will definitely come again October 10, 2014
Decent course for the money I enjoyed playing the course for the value we paid. Greens were in decent shape and the staff in the clubhouse was very friendly. October 6, 2014
A Myrtle Beach Must Play! Played Otter/Bear nines at River Oaks - course was in very solid condition given the time of year and amount of rain Myrtle Beach has seen over the past few weeks. I really enjoyed the layout and challenge. The greens fees at $35 was a fantastic value for a weekend primetime round. I will play River Oaks again on my next trip to Myrtle. September 29, 2014
Some of the best greens in Myrtle Yes I said it - this course has some of the best greens in Myrtle Beach. They are fast, they hold well on a good approach and stay true to a line. The fairway is cut nice and allows you to take a "dolla bill" out of the turf. The pro shop reminds me of a good old fashioned "small town" shop which makes me feel at home. The overall value of this course is quite amazing. 27 holes means there really isn't a backup on the tees. If you're a scratch golfer and want something fancy go play somewhere else. If you're an average golfer this is your place! The staff is amazing, the Sunday breakfast is home cooked on the griddle and you can enjoy a cup of coffee overlooking a lake. However, If you're a meathead who likes to drive up on the greens - best you save your money, buy a case of natty light and stay home. September 28, 2014
A challenging course Time to play 4hrs 25min. Fairways had a lot of mowed grass on them because of lots of rain lately, so grass was long also in rough, other wise course was in great shape. Course is a challange with the placement of the water hazzards and some out of bounds near condos & houses. Very good value for 18 holes plus you can play the other 9 holes for $15 w/cart.
