The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes.

The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Convenient to Resort where I stayed. Played the Fox and the Bear. The Bear is a top notch nine holes. November 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by very wet The rains went away but a lot of water remained. The course was over seeded and had not been cut, with long grass and wet conditions it did effect play. I will play it again when it dries out. November 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty good course Played 36 and covered all three 9 hole layouts. Otter course is the best. Fox and Bear are ok but not as nice. Generally good conditions, pace was fine, $45 for 18 which is fair. We picked up the second 18 for $35. Bring some serious bug spray; Mosquitos the size of birds came out late in the day in swarms. We had citronella based bug spray which was useless. October 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Reasonable condition in spite of all the rain Myrtle Beach in the previous week had a lot of rain, the course had drained well and buggies were allowed on the fairway, you could see how high the water had been on some of the ground surrounding the ponds. I was a single player and was joined up with two other players and we had an enjoyable round, pace of play reasonable, greens good. October 13, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Go For The Value This course good for casual golfer. Course is a bit unkept as far as fairways and roughs, but greens are in good shape. October 13, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lots of recent storm damage. Upon arrival restrooms were closed. Sent us out in a timely manner. Lots of standing water and sand from bunkers went missing during a recent storm. However, they were working very hard to get things back in shape. I would recommend. October 6, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't waste your time If all courses were like this one I would quit golf. September 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 A good course Played bear/fox. The pace of play was very slow to start. Very slow. The group in front of us had time to leave the clubhouse, drive to the first, drive back and ask the starter if there was some reason that there was 3 groups at the tee and if there was any way that they could start on a different 9. Of course, no. But after about a half an hour wait or so, the pace picked up. The course was in decent shape. September 26, 2015
