The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes.

The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.

River Oaks Decent track with tricky greens. Sand traps need maintenance. Fun course to play overall. April 10, 2014
Good overall experience! Everyone was professional and friendly. Since we had not played the course before the starter-bag handler gave us numerous hints on the course that helped us out later. They got us right off on Otter- Bear courses. Even thought it had rained off and on all night up until half hour before we teed off. I was surprised on how dry the fairways were. Yes, it was wet but if you stayed in the fairways it was pretty dry. April 9, 2014
Great Course This is a great course to play--the day i went was one of the first warm days of spring and the place was crowded but enjoyed the day and the staff handled the crowd great April 8, 2014
Fun Time We had a wonderful time. Had lunch and a beer afterwards. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. April 8, 2014
Awesome value Fantastic place to play for very little money. Greens and pin placement fantastic to challenge anyone. Play this course and the out door batbecue with the cold beer and jumbo hot dogs great. April 2, 2014
Good course Has some fun holes to play. Greens in nice shape. Fairways good. March 27, 2014
Kimberley Flaig It was a challenging course and we moved rather quickly. Thank you so much for having my husband, daughter and myself play there. We played on my 62nd birthday. My daughter's 20th birthday was in that same week. We all had a great time. Thanks again. March 26, 2014
Lower end but Affordable MB course Had a 7:48 tee time but teed off closer to 8:00, when we finished our first nine in a little under 2 hours there were at least 10 to 12 golf carts waiting in line to tee off on the same nine. This had me worried about our second nine but we were able to tee off in a timely fashion, and from what I could see of the third nine there was no wait at the first tee over there. So if you have a later tee time you may have a wait, and a slower round than we did. Course has a decent amount of water in play. Sand traps were probably the worst I have seen in a good long time. It's not that they all were neglected, but most were. I saw one or two that had nice new sand, others were fair, but most were not playable as they were either mud or a very wet thin sand. There was no consistency which made it tough play out of them. March 23, 2014
