The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes.

The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.

Bear and Fox Bear had more water than Fox and the greens were not in good shape. It looked like the greens had a fungus and were bare in some areas. The greens were pretty fast and very hard as were the fairways. The greens on Fox were much slower and softer. We were sent off 20 minutes late (1:20) because there were two tournaments on the couse. We had to wait on the group in front on every shot. No issues with the gas powered carts, but the cart paths are in bad shape and hard on the kidneys. Much better riding the fairways. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Paid $30 using the GN app for a threesome. May 19, 2015
Nice Course To Play Very small greens in fair condition, fairways good condition. Slow play, reasonable price, and friendly staff. Would play again, but with so many courses in the area it wouldn't be my first choice. May 15, 2015
great course I really liked the course layout. The course was in very good shape. Some of the greens were a little thin but I attributed that to just coming out of winter. Also, cart paths were in disrepair. Overall the course was a great value for the money. May 14, 2015
Hackville I If you want to play cheap and don't mind long golf rounds, then this course is for you. If you expect to tee off on time and have an average 4-4 1/2 hour round then pass. This course appeared to be all about getting counts and not about quality of of golf experience. We got to the tee box on time only to see three groups ahead of us waiting to tee off. We started an hour late and finished 6 hours later. May 7, 2015
Good Value/Nice Course The course was a wonderful way to start our week and would recommend it. The price was reasonable. It was easy to get to from the main hub of Myrtle Beach. I would play there again. May 7, 2015
Fun, great location Right in the heart of Myrtle beach. A few minutes drive to everything. Relaxed fun Golf round. Was able to play in under 4 hours. Thank you GolfNow! May 6, 2015
Old & Short Need some work on coarse overall and move tee boxes back a little. OK coarse for women and old guys, on a dry day you can roll the ball on to most greens, which are small and need to be maintained better. They do have good slope which makes putting a challenge over the ball marks and rough spots. May 4, 2015
Good friendly place Good value for the money, very friendly and professional staff. May 1, 2015
