The 27 beautiful holes of River Oaks Golf Plantation are located on the site of a former nature preserve. Located conveniently just minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the quiet and seclusion makes it hard to believe that you can be at the beach, Myrtle Beach Airport or some of the best attractions in town such as the Pavilion, Broadway at the Beach or NASCAR Café in less than 5 minutes.

The three nine-hole courses feature recently renovated undulating Champion Ultradwarf greens and tree-lined fairways. Follow Highway 501, over the Intercoastal Waterway Bridge , to a golfer’s sanctuary where mornings are spent chasing birdies and afternoons are spent in search of eagles - River Oaks Golf Plantation.

great price and good condition for winter Golfnow has $20+booking fee per person which was great deal for foursome. Course was relatively wet due to rainy days, and pace of play gets a bit slower, but no reason to hurry when you are in vacation. Played Fox and Bear, Fox was above average and good for warm up, Bear has more waters and more challenging (if you don't know the course well). Overall, very satisfied for the start of golf trip with great price. February 24, 2015
River oaks in February Played River Oaks for the first time in 15 years. Golf now had a $30 for 18 and it was a great bargain. Just wanted to get away from the snow and cold of northeast so booked a long weekend in myrtle. I always liked the layout of the 3 nines. But the Bear remains my favorite. Great course to start your golf trip with or to get out and swing the clubs. February 23, 2015
Decent track Played Bear-Otter on a chilly but sunny day. Course very wet, cart path only which was a hassle. Layout has potential, lots of water and it helps know where it is ahead of time... Greens OK for winter. Price right February 17, 2015
Bill The course was a nice layout close to Myrtle Beach area. The greens were fast but in nice shape. The fairways retained water and had wet areas, overall not a bad track for the price. The only downside was the extremely slow play. My wife and I played behind a three some that had no business playing from the white tees. One player hit three balls off the first tee (there were two foursomes behind us waiting). This player could barely walk to his ball and played an extra ball around the greens. It took us three hours to complete the first nine. We passed them at the turn and completed our round within five hours. February 10, 2015
Golf in February I've played nicer courses but it is February and I'm Canadian so it was great to get out. Staff was friendly and professional. I'd like to come back in a couple of months and see what the course is like. Overall it was enjoyable. February 9, 2015
Greens made to look Green! The teeing areas were in good condition the fairways had been cut too short the greens were poor........ They had sprayed a green dye to cover up poor quality turf. Enough said! I could not recommend this course to anyone but a starter in the game. February 6, 2015
Bet it's better dry This is one of the better courses on the strand. It was cart path only because it was wet. The greens were in great shape and they all have nice undulations and roll true. When dry I assume the fairways would give better roll but that's just the nature of the beast. Enough water hazards throughout but not too many that you have to pinpoint every shot. Fairways are fairly large and forgiving. Good experience. January 29, 2015
nice undulating reens course is in good shape greens fast and true enjoyed playing will play again January 23, 2015
