Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun & Challenging Layout I will start by saying that this course does not seem to get played very hard. Everytime I play here the course is not crowded with people. Makes it that much more enjoyable of a place to play. Well cared and maintained course. Rough is somewhat thick & this is a course you have to think your way around every shot. I love this course because of the challenges it produces. Staff is very friendly and beverage cart is constantly circling the course. If you are looking for a great value and challenging course stop here and really enjoy the game and views on this beautiful track. August 19, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Experience There is a serious lack of maintenance. There is no sand in the bunkers, the greens rolled poorly, the clubhouse is under the restaurant in the basement and the only way to get something on the turn is to have a hot dog in a crockpot. Very Very Very poor experience. June 17, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Love the course - Hate the heather!!!!!!!! We have played this course 90% of the weekends for the past 7 years so obviously we loved it - challenging & fun, but now we will no longer play Springwood. The management's failure or decision to skimp on the expense $$'s to cut back the heather to where you can play your somewhat errant shots forces weekend golfers to look for their balls on approximately 40 - 50% of the holes. The traps have always been suspect / poorly maintained and the greens range from decent to very good. If they want our $$$$ & we have spent literally thousands there over the past 7 years, they will cut back the heather!! We called recently and they told us they cut the heather back & we faithfully went back, but when we played the course, it was worse than ever!! It's no longer a fun experience to play there - what a sin because it's by far the nicest course layout in York County that we have played. Like I said we used to love playing Springwood, but NO MORE!!!! September 18, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful and Challenging Course is beautiful combination of hills and valleys. The greens were in excellent condition and the rough was the right length not to punish the average golfer too bad. Several holes very fun to play and just, " great little holes." There is a great risk reward factor on a lot of the holes. I would love to play this course again. August 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lots of different holes. I've played this course a few times and the greens are always in good shape. This course has alot of different hole layouts. I don't think you will find two holes the same. If you're not hitting the ball straight you could loose a few golf balls. Overall, I think this course is fun to play. August 9, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room for improvement Springwood has all the elements of a great course - a testing layout that mixes length, elevation change and lurking danger for the careless player. where it comes up short is in its condition - greens and tees are needed mowing and the bunkers need a lot more attention. Its clear maintenance is being skimped on and this detracts from what should be a top-flite track in the area. July 5, 2013
