Galen Hall Golf Club is a Par 72 layout for the men and Par 73 for women. Elevation changes, sidehill lies, and undulating greens are among some of the features that make playing Galen Hall Golf Club a unique golfing experience. The golfer will also encounter difficult Par 3's, including the famous Moat Hole, and reachable Par 5's. The Moat Hole is a true island green and according to some historians, the first island green ever created. The Moat Hole, the fifteenth hole at Galen Hall was designed and built in 1917 by famed golf course architect A.W. Tillinghast when he added nine holes to the existing golf course.

Great Value, Great Course A bit further a filed, but well worth the trip. Classic designed, well maintained at the right price point. April 10, 2014
Fast greens Course in great shape. Greens were very fast The course is hilly with some interesting lies. September 22, 2013
TOO many blind shots, some across roads Found this course not in good shape, ball marks all over greens, also some disease spots on greens. Tee boxes not In good shape either. Fairways were iffy, some ok others not so. Severe side slopes, balls getting lost in rough. September 18, 2013
Great value for the course difficulty Great course that was well maintained. The value was unbeatable for the area and the difficulty of the course. Would definetly go back again. September 17, 2013
awesome value very nice course-only downfall-manu pebbles on greens--just dressed that morning--oh well for 10 bucks-great scenery. September 6, 2013
Play this course on a regular basis, conditions are deteriorating I am a local player to this course and have played there as part of the local rotation pretty frequently over the last 15+ years. The last two or three times i have been there, however, the conditions were very poor. For a course known for their immaculate greens, i was very disappointed. August 26, 2013
Challenging! Quite challenging for the first time but worth playing if the price is right. I will probably play it again. August 25, 2013
Challenging course, A lot of fun to play I was impressed by the course layout and the way the greens were maintained. The "Moat" hole was a great experience as well! Definitely would recommend this course to others. August 5, 2013

Restaurant:

For 100 years, Galen Hall has been a cornerstone to the South Mountain region, in providing high quality service to its residents and all who have graced their presence on this historic landmark. The Galen Hall Restaurant sits on the hill over looking the first tee and the finishing 18th green. As our guest, you will experience an ambience of traditions to go with our vast array of culinary cuisine. Chef Tim has put together a very professional staff, poised and ready to serve you and your guests in the old fashion graces we call “service excellence”. As the seasons change, so do our menus. Chef Tim likes to follow the seasons of the year and bring all of the wonderful flavors of those seasons together. From the classics to the innovative, these menus come alive each day with foods from around the world as well as the advantages of locally grown. Throughout its long history, The Galen Hall Restaurant has seen many changes, but one common characteristic still continues to exist; our relationships. Many of our guests have been coming to this cherished facility for many years and have been accustomed to our greeting them by name. As it was in the beginning with the 300 room Galen Hall Hotel, it is not the four walls which matter, it is the guests who visit and continue to enjoy our legacy. Whether you are a “seasoned pro” or a first time guest, we invite you to dine with us and see why our guests keep on coming back. As our motto states; Great Food, Great Fun, Memories Made!
