OK. Hopefully will get better..
Did not know aeration was done only a couple of weeks ago. (Golfnow should post this kind of information with a date of aeration). In any case, didn't expect too much but green was in better condition than expected. Bunkers needed some work with refilling of sand. The biggest disappointment was that the tees were moved so that the course was ridiculously shorter. Only white tees were available and these were moved to junior or even ladies tees, making the course VERY short. Too easy that it affected the fun of challenges. I'm sure these will get better as we head further into the season.

Nice course for December.The staff ( Brian) was not the most friendly.
Thank god it was not busy for once.there was a super slow twosome that wouldn't let me pass , so I had to give up hole 8.the course was in really good shape.This course usually takes almost 5 hours to play due to over booking.This is their biggest problem.

Great play
This course is always in excellent condition. When I played this fall no problems with leaves all cleaned up, tees fairways excellent condition and lightning fast greens.

Good layout
The greens were a bit unfair. For example the pins were placed all close to the edges and often on severe slopes I putted one green from below the hole about 8 feet and put the ball 10 inches past the cup just to the right and it rolled all the way back down to where it started and the next putt was similar in its return thankfully I sunk the third one

Great late Autumn Day
We were blessed with near 70 degree temperatures during the second weekend in November and really enjoyed our day on this course. The pace of play was a little sluggish as we waited pretty much our entire round.
The course was in great condition for the season!

Pace of play a problem
My round got off to a bad start even before the first tee shot. The pro shop staff did not seem to have any idea who was playing in what four-some. Almost had to play with five when he tried to add another to the wrong group. No ranger on duty, so pace of play was extremely slow. For an afternoon round, it took way to long to finish out. Course was in great shape and presents plenty of challenges. The greens were in great shape and plenty fast. Would definitely play again, but will pick a weekday morning.

lots of challenge of the tees and on the greens
played one week after hurricane sandy, course was cleaned up very well. love this course and play it whenever i get a chance. they were without power last week so i played a couple other local courses and they were a good bit less desirable.

Five Ponds was a treat.
I played the course for the first time as a walking single, having always heard good things. It more than lived up to its reputation. An interesting layout for having a relatively small piece of ground, challenging and memorable holes, in terrific shape for the season. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I will definitely go back.

Always a challenge
The weather conditions with a misty and windy day made the course play tough. Greens were good and overall course conditions were good. I was able to play the first four holes alone as the group I was to play with didn't show up and the weather kept people away. But when I caught up to players on the course and joined a twosome play slowed considerably, on the back nine particularly which is kind of the norm.

Attractive course with a variety of challenges
Beautiful course with water, hills, creek, dog legs to deal with. Greens are challenging but fair.
I am an average golfer but I was not intimidated by the course.

The greens and fairways are excellent.
I have played this course several times over the years and this was, by far, the best shape I have ever seen it in. The price was also excellent through Golfnow.

Challenging course that demands accuracy
There is a reason why this course is always packed - it's very well maintained despite the high number of rounds it sustains. Most divots are re-filled and there aren't that many ball marks on the greens. The variety of the holes is the best part. I think I used every single club in my bag more than once. Some holes are very narrow which places a premium on accuracy. Two par three holes are quite exciting since they are downhill shots that need to cross a pond or a creek. Aside from the slow pace of play, my only other complaint is the positioning of the tee boxes - they are either too close to other tee boxes, or are at an angle that may pose a threat to other players, such as players approaching a different green. In both cases, they slow down the pace. Overall, it's a great course if you don't mind the slow pace.

Great course and in great condition!!! It was a great hot deal to play there on a weekday.

One of the best Golf courses in the area!
I found a super awesome discount on Golfnow.com to play here at 5 ponds. 58% off for a round here is unheard of so I had to take the opportunity to get out and play a round. The course was in great shape and I had an excelent time!

nice course in good shape, but the pace can get slow
I have never thought the staff was ovely friendly, but they were downright rude this round. Actually yelled - and I mean yelled -at us for not teeing off on time with another 2some - of course they had us going off on the back 9, with no starter and no mention they had put us with another group. The 2some we were supposed to be playing with were standing in the fairway waiting (5min) for the green to clear. We kept our decorum and did not yell back - but it was tempting

hard course but poorly run
The course was in great shape but the staff have no idea how to run it. It should not take 5 and a half hours to play 18 holes. They started everyone on the back 9 instead of mixing and matching which caused a huge backup at every hole. The staff was also very unfriendly and no help at all. The only reason I would recommend this to anyone is because it is one of the better courses in the area and you can usually get a good discount on GolfNow, but if you play there I recommend that you go on a day where you have nothing else to do and try to limit your contact with the club staff.
