Lederach Golf Club is Eastern Pennsylvania's newest creation by Reading-based course architect Kelly Blake Moran. The highly-anticipated layout north of Philadelphia just off exit 31 on the Northeast Extension is amid gorgeous rolling farmland and has a decidedly links feel.

Lederach's difficulty won't be found in forced carries or other modern design gimmicks. Rather, the course will utilize the property's ample undulations, scenic ridges and sweeping valleys. False fronts, collection areas, grass bunkers and swales are just some of the natural hazards Moran has incorporated into his "land-based" design for Lederach.

Greens were excellent If you want a semi links course that's kept in great condition with extremely difficult greens on EVERY HOLE then this is your course. August 17, 2014
A cut above many local courses The weather was great; the course was in very good condition for a busy public course. However, the placement for many of the pins was odd if they want to keep pace of play to 4 hours, or 4.5 on weekends. The greens are huge, but the pins were in places that could easily slow down play, and hurt scoring for most golfers. The course is reasonably challenging from the 6000yard green tees, especially for our threesome of 65-year old 15 to 20 handicappers. A good value overall with the special rate--a little high without it. August 16, 2014
Nice course fair price. Really nice course. Fast greens very undulating. Gotta get the ball on the right level. Better knowledge of pin placement would help a lot. A zone chart in the cart would speed up play. Less reading of the greens if u can knock it close August 11, 2014
To many Twosomes We got paired up with another twosome . Behind us they had 3 other twosomes did not understand why they did not pair them up. Then asked us to speed up to catch the threesome in front of us . Poor management on a Friday afternoon August 4, 2014
Are you kidding me? I've played this course about 6 times and I've been pretty disappointed each time. After some years, you would think the rough and grasses would have matured, but they still have not settled yet. Plenty of small rocks and hardpan(bare) lies throughout the course. The good: The layout is very interesting and the par 3s are very fun to play. The par 5 12th hole is a monster and is a very enjoyable hole. The clubhouse is well maintained and there is a decent range on course. The bad: We teed off at 6:15 and were the third group out. Nevertheless, we took over 5 hours to play due to slow groups. We waited about 5 minutes before every shot! The staff did nothing about the groups in front that refused to let us play through. The greens are a joke, I understand trying to give golfers a challenge but the greens reminded me of a minigolf circus course. To add to that, the pin placements were too close to the edges of greens and on severe slopes. The ugly: As if the slow play was not bad enough, they top it off with horrendous customer service. The girl at the register is extremely rude and disrespectful. They seem to forget that they are running a business in which reputation matters. For a course that charges like a top tier course, the bunkers look to be completely neglected and are in terrible condition. Also, expect to find plenty of fallen tree trunks and branches all over. In conclusion, for the price, the course is definitely not worth your time and money. If you're looking for a great public golf course experience nearby, try Berkleigh, Macoby Run, or Bella Vista. They all treat you like valued customers and don't take 5+ hours to play. Plus, conditions are exponentially better than Lederach. I've given this course 6 tries and its failed each time. I definitely will not be returning anymore. July 30, 2014
Outstanding course This course is in as good a shape as any public or private course in the Delaware Valley. It's a serious challenge with greens that are like roller coaster rides but they don't go wild with pin placements and the greens are not rocket fuel fast either. There's some long, challenging holes. If your playing it for the first time bring along someone who's played the course before because local knowledge goes a long way at Lederach. Some of the course will infuriate the first time player like the impossible to hold eighth green. This course could qualify as quirky but I think that the fees that are charged here will leave you feeling you got a bargain playing Lederach. July 28, 2014
Course was in excellent Condition The course was in excellent condition and the pace of play was very good. It is uniquely designed with a lot of risk-reward type holes and strategically placed bunkers and mounds which give you a lot of pause for reflection as to what club to use.We found it to be both fair and challenging. Can't beat $40 on a friday morning here Course is excellent, great shape, challenging greens and pin locations. Pace of play was slow because of a group of 3 older gentlemen that played from the whites?? Myself and 2 other guys (28 years old) are about 11-15 handicaps. We played from the tips and got done in 4hr 15min. 740am tee time. $40 was a steal. This course is top 4 public in the greater suburban Philly area without a doubt July 12, 2014
