Golden Oaks Golf Club
Scenic Tree lined Day in the Country
Developer did a beautiful job of keeping housing well off course. Thought it played like an old time pre-developer course with beautiful vistas. Golden Oaks true to name - tree lined. I played the championship tees - 6700 yards - gold at this course and it played long because most holes played up hill. Par 3's looked benign but with well manicured faster than normal greens and a little wind they were very challenging.

This is an excellent course to play. The greens were the fastest I have played all year.

Friendly course, although can play tough if you play the very back tees
This course is designed to get people around in a friendly way. Greens are large and mostly flat, easy to hit. Fairways are wide, with not a lot of trouble. The par-3s are tough, especially from the back tees. You do have to hit over water 3 times, twice on par 3 holes, but other than that, its very unlikely you'll lose your ball. It can be a bit bland to start with a lot of holes are similar to each other, but the course finishes well, 14-18 are all fun and interesting holes.

Coming from the Valley Forge area, this course is worth the ride. This course has the feel of a country club. The greens are fast but true.

One of the very best public golf courses around. Better than many private clubs in eastern Pa.

Great golf course to play, you must play it
Course maintenance always in great shape but pace of play can vary depending upon tee box being played by golfers. Play the proper box (tee it up!) and you will enjoy a great round. Back tees are for low single digit handicappers ONLY, this course will make for a long day if you try to play beyond your ability and frustrate golfers behind you!
