Top Shelf Just played the Pronghorn Nicklaus course. We played five courses in rhe Bend area (Tetherow, Crosswater, Brasada Ranch, Widgi Creek and Pronghorn), and this one was our favorite. It was a blend of Tetherow and Crosswater. Immaculate conditions (not a blade of grass out of place), beautiful layout and great views. We would play this again in a heartbeat. July 31, 2014
Making Bend a world class golf destination Pronghorn, along with a handful of other recent additions to the area, make Bend a world class golf scene. I've had the pleasure of playing both the Nicklaus and Fazio courses here, and both are standout, high desert plays that are immaculately conditioned and lots of fun to play. While the signature hole of the property is on the Fazio course, I curry favor on the whole towards the Nicklaus, thanks to a lot of risk-reward holes (including a couple drivable par 4s). The onsite accommodations are great too, particularly for golf groups and families. December 27, 2013
go play Tetherow intead With resort courses, sometimes they let people on who have never played golf and it slows the whole round for everyone. I quit after a 3-hour front nine. The greens are beautiful and the course is in great shape but the design is kind of boring. Plus, the pace of play ruins it. There are much better courses for the money. Don't waste your time. Beautiful Golf Course Loved the course - fairways, tees and greens immaculate! Can't wait to play it agsin. July 2, 2013
Absolutly Georgous! This course is a must! So Beautiful and a ton of fun! Many challenging holes, in fact the hardest one I have ever had to play (15) but worth the challenge. I would pick this course over in Bend, make the drive it is only a few extra minutes and worth it! July 2, 2013
A wonderful golf course in great condition. This is a challenging golf course that is a delight to play. There is only one unfair hole which is a blind tee shot with a hidden stream straight away over the target line. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is one of those "must play" golf courses when in Central Oregon. June 8, 2013
Play it while you can This private-turned-public course is amazing. Playing with a caddie is a treat. The course design is superb. It is expensive, (don't forget to tip your caddie), but it is worth it, at least once. If the economy comes around, they'll probably close the course to public play. April 16, 2013
Awesome Course This is by far the best course I've played this year. At $70.00 for the round, it is definitely worth the trip to Bend. The couse was dry and the greens were awesome. April 3, 2013
