Great layout, course conditions leave a little to be desired Willow Valley is one of my favorite layouts - linksy without many trees, lovely contours and mounding, some dramatic greens and a nice selection of holes. However, the course doesn't drain well - the last few times I've played here there was standing water on fairways and in bunkers, and carts were restricted to cartpaths. In each case this was surprising in that we hadn't had a great deal of rain beforehand. Also, the course hasn't been maintained as I might have hoped - there were many damaged areas in fairways, bridges were in disrepair, and greens were pretty beat up (it didn't help that greens had been aerated recently). Driving range is unfortunately mats only. I will return to the course at a discounted rate ($60 or under with cart) , but next time I'l avoid the course after any rain :) October 22, 2012

Heavy-handed design This course punishes missed shots with extremely deep fairway bunkers. It also provides only one shot selection on many holes, with very few greens open to roll a ball on, which is strange for a open "links-type" layout. October 22, 2012

Great price for fall golf Played this course in mid-October. As you may expect at this time of year, the course was not in prefect shape, but nevertheless was very playable. The greens had recently been aerated, and the fairways appeared not have been mowed in a few days, but otherwise the course was in it's normal state of affairs. I have played here mid-summer and it was a truly excellent experience. A bit pricey at full rate, but a technically challenging, risk-vs-reward beauty. October 14, 2012

Good course Course was well maintained, pace of play was not bad for a weekend round. They are a little pricey on the weekends but overall a decent round of golf close to home. September 30, 2012

what happened to the greens? This has been a long time favorite of mine, but something has attacked the greens, they are badly pock-marked, and just not in good shape. Otherwise the course is well maintained September 23, 2012
