First time playing Came in on a Wednesday mid-day. Nice course and well maintained generally. Lots of rain recently so there was some pretty substantial flooding in places. Overall, nice course with some challenges here and there. The front desk guy could've been a little more friendly, but other than him it was a good experience. June 18, 2015
Par 3 dilemma Par 3's on front are difficult and seem to be the primary reason for backup. 5 groups deep on #7 when we played. Long delays ruin your tempo and make your round less enjoyable. June 8, 2015
Tanglewood Course has it all. Elevation changes, Fast greens and wonderful views. You will need to bring all your club , because you will use every one. June 8, 2015
Way Overrated 1. Holes aren't marked the plates in the ground are cover up with grass cannot see them. 2. Sand traps with no sand rocks the size of buckets in traps 3. No drinking water, 4. no water in the ball washers. 5. This course seen better days it is obvious the money they are making is not goining back in the course and the owners just don't care, it is a shame was a great course at one time. SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! Great course. Friendly staff What an awesome layout. We were pleasantly surprised at what a gem this course is. Fantastic rolling elevation changes and great greens. The traps were a little rocky but everything else was great. My only negative comment would be that there is no layout map on the card and no signs on the teeboxes. Tough for a first time player. A simple map with the scorecard would be a big help. I highly recommend this course and plan to play here again very soon. May 24, 2015
Tanglewood The course was absolutely fantastic. The was some construction off the tee at the 1st but shouldn't be in play (as long as you dont have a major hook). The weather was terrible the day we went (on and off rain all day) but the course (especially the greens) stayed in surprisingly good shape. We played here on a hot deal and would gladly pay again at regular rates A+ for the staff, facilities, and course May 22, 2014
good value Tanglewood has come a long way from just a few years ago. The greens are very true and often fast. Overall conditions have improved: nice fairways throughout, very little remaining ground under repair and now there is sand in the bunkers ! If you have not played this in the past 3 - 5 years, you should notice a major improvement in quality. November 27, 2013
Getting there... If you've been a witness to the ownership changes over the last several years, you're well aware that this place has had some rough seasons in terms of condition and playability. This year, however, the course was in much better condition and seemed to get better throughout the year. The new owners are really putting an effort in to bringing this place back, and I'm happy to see it finally happening. Some things that may remind you that a recovery is still underway: poor sand trap quality, un-even tee boxes, random drainage issues (MUCH better than last year), hit-or-miss cart quality, and no ranger to speed up slow groups. I think 2014 will be a new era for this course. November 16, 2013
