Cape Fear National’s challenging layout can stretch to 7217 yards with multiple tee options to fit your game. The tees, fairways, and primary rough are grassed in Tifway 419 Bermuda. Cape Fear National’s heat tolerant A-1/A-4 bent grass greens are large (an average of 8500 square feet) and challenging. Over fifty sculpted bunker complexes and three giant waste bunkers which run tee to green are filled with brilliant white SP 55 sand (the same premium blend as Augusta National). Lush Empire zoysia grass surrounds these flowing bunker complexes which guard primary fairway landing areas and protect the inviting green sites. Over 1.5 million cubic yards of earth was moved to create the dramatic berms, elevated tees, meandering fairways, and sculpted features throughout the course.
