Horrible greens Took a threesome to play, at a great rate, however we were unaware of the course conditions. We were told at the start the course was really wet. That was true, but no mention of the greens conditions. Holes 10-18 were very nice and not very wet on any fairways. Holes 1-9, just the opposite. Greens were mostly sand and rock. Fairways were mud and almost no cart path for the front 9. Would not have paid the small amount I paid had I known the condition of half the course. Felt like I should have been told the true course conditions. When we finished our round there was no one who seemed to be working and all the vehicles were gone except for mine. February 27, 2013
I only play here when it's $15 or less. You have to make up special rules when you play here. I classify several greens as "two putt greens" because they are in such poor condition that I won't count anything past a two putt. Forget the "play it where it lies" rule too. You'll have to move your ball several times because of the amount of debris in playable areas and muddy fairways. I like to grab a snack and a cold beverage at the turn when I play, but they haven't had anyone staffing the snack bar for months. I play here because of Golfnow.com's discounted rates period. Every other course in the area is a better option if you're willing to spend more for a better experience. I skip around a lot and usually just use this course to get in a practice round. Coming back to be a great course The course went down hill a couple years ago. (not sure why). But they are doing a great job to bring this course back. Great layout with a few very narrow par fours. There are a few holes where homes are very close. TOO CLOSE. December 21, 2012
This course is a well rounded challenge. I enjoyed the outing very much. The course is a little tight for some one who drives the ball a little wild some times. The out of bound on almost every hole causes you to not hit a driver to keep the ball in bounds. November 22, 2012
some of greens could use more attention, price was great great course for the price, staff was extremely friendly, greens needed some attention other than that a challenging course that required diferent shots and placement November 13, 2012
some greens under repair, fairways in good condition. The woman at the clubhouse is very unfriendly, she should consider doing someting else, perhaps something where she does not have to interact with people. October 23, 2012
Excellent Price but Greens Need Work For what I paid I shouldn't be too harsh on this course. They have tried to rebuild their greens over the last year and have been mostly successful, but a few of them are not making it and are close to unplayable. Those that have come in are smooth and fast. Fairways are mostly narrow with several holes taking the driver out of your hands because of short turns to doglegs. Not having a GPS, it makes club selection awkward since there aren't any fairway markers to give guidance other than the usual 100/150/200 concrete markers. If you are going to the Crystal Coast and would like a nice opportunity to get out and enjoy swinging a club, this can be a good buy. But, until the course condition stabilizes, it won't give you its full value. October 18, 2012
Nice change in elevations, not to radical but gives different looks Has dog legs right and left plus some straight holes. Large number of shots are required. Sloping fairways gives a premium on shot placement. A few of the greens are a little rough but they have re done all of then and they are coming back real nice. October 10, 2012
Nice layout The installation of a new grass type on the greens was just a little more than half-way there. Once the greens are back it should be a great course. October 4, 2012
Not a good experience for me, but the place has potential. A bad day of golf is better than a good day at work, but my day at Brandywine was pretty bad. I booked a 6:30AM tee time and showed up at 6:00 to make sure I was at least 20 minutes early per the GolfNow.com instructions. No one in sight and I must admit is wasn't going to be light by 6:30 anyway, but why book the tee time if nobody who works there shows up before 7:00AM? I had to leave to find a bathroom but no worries, I was back in plenty of time. I didn't see a practice range, and I don't think they had one, but I didn't ask. I got a briefing on all the temporary greens and to tell you the truth there were several holes where the greens were almost unplayable. The course is tight and the rough was pretty tall. The fairways need to be cut too. Not an enjoyable round. I know they were probably trying to save the greens and to minimize damage on the fairways and maybe even the rough by leaving them long, so I'll say the place has potential. It just didn't impress me the day I was there. September 24, 2012
