Earning a coveted "Best Renovation of the Year" award for 2006, the par 71 course features 18 distinctly different holes with a memorable 6,415 yard layout. Three unique par 3 holes highlight the back nine; one virtually hangs from a cliff. And, like Baltusrol, home of the PGA Championship, the course finishes with back-to-back par 5's.

Cummings Cove has everything that makes golfing in the mountains special including elevated tees, tree-lined fairways, lakes, streams, waterfalls and see-forever views. Creature comforts enhance your game with ice and water machines and restrooms adjoining the 6th, 10th and 15th holes. Private club atmosphere and service is available to visiting golfers and outside play.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 118 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by This is a country club course The staff was friendly letting us start ahead of our scheduled Tee time. The carts do have GPS which was helpful tackling some of the holes on the front nine. I was not impressed with the fairway conditions after reading some of the earlier reviews there are still spots where the grass has receded and you will be hitting off of dirt. The change of seasons meant that there were a lot of leaves on the ground and due to the rain all week we lost a lot of balls that were in play. Hope that this review helps other people when deciding where to play in the Asheville area. September 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice course Love playing this course beautiful place to play. Staff is great God on carts is the best I've ever seen . September 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cummings Cove Played at a reduced rate due to the greens being aerated. Fairways and tee boxes were average at best. Only a few groups on the golf course today, and the pace of play was still a problem. Green fees are usually in the $50 to $60 dollar range. There are many better golf courses in the area to choose from. September 14, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Tough but Beautiful No easy holes here. Every shot can find trouble. Several fairways were under repair, but overall the course was well groomed. Slow foursome was a problem, but that can happen anywhere. August 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Tough Beautiful scenery. It is a very tough course unless you are a solid player. It can be very frustrating if you ball is just a little of course. August 15, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs some work Great staff...EXPENSIVE food and beverage. $30.00 for 2 dogs, club sandwich and 2 beers? Country Club atmosphere, mostly members play. A few really bad fairways in need of grass and seed, greens in good shape. Very scenic with plenty of sand and water challenges. Fairly tight fairways lined with homes. We played in blistering heat which I'm sure influenced sour taste....will try again after fairways come back in and temps drop. July 14, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Enjoyable afternoon Started on the back nine due to cart path paving prep on front. Pace of play was VERY slow for the first nine, possibly due to locals group that just plays 9. Much improved on remaining nine. Greens were excellent. Fairways had substantial winter kill bare spots, but you can see that management is addressing the issues as well as possible. Bunkers not prepped for play on this day, but playable. A lot of new sod on tee boxes. Grounds maintenance around water features could be much better and would help to make this course shine. Starter and pro shop staff were great. Good value for GolfNow hot deal price, but I'd have a hard time paying retail for the course in its current condition. In better condition, the course would be awesome. July 14, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Overpriced and handicapped unfriendly Beautiful layout, excellent facilities. However, the course is in deplorable condition. Many fairways are mostly bare ground. Several of the holes are CPO (cart path only), even though they're dry and in good condition. Additionally, there are no facilities for the handicapped. I won't play it again. July 10, 2015
