Earning a coveted "Best Renovation of the Year" award for 2006, the par 71 course features 18 distinctly different holes with a memorable 6,415 yard layout. Three unique par 3 holes highlight the back nine; one virtually hangs from a cliff. And, like Baltusrol, home of the PGA Championship, the course finishes with back-to-back par 5's.

Cummings Cove has everything that makes golfing in the mountains special including elevated tees, tree-lined fairways, lakes, streams, waterfalls and see-forever views. Creature comforts enhance your game with ice and water machines and restrooms adjoining the 6th, 10th and 15th holes. Private club atmosphere and service is available to visiting golfers and outside play.

beautiful views good greens Great course. Challenging. Fast greens even after two days of rain. One of my favorite courses. July 21, 2014
Great Mountain Course I had not been back to Cummings Cove for several years. The course has matured into a great mountain course. It is deceptively short, which presents its own challenges. One of our foursome says, "I think I need drive on only one hole." Control is the name of the game here. Beautiful scenery makes the day pleasurable as well. The grounds staff and club staff are tops. July 18, 2014
The course is challenging. Cummings Cove is an excellent course and one I would play every day if I had the opportunity. July 17, 2014
OVerall Great Some of the Tees are are a lilttle burnt. Some bad spots in Fairways but overall they were great. Greens are very difficult but are in great condition. Speed was prob 7.5 -8.5 but thats prob about as fast as they should be with all the slope. Bunkers were not in good shape but late afternoon t storms make them hard to keep in good shape with all the washing out...... Overall Course was great shape and it was worth the $.......Course is short but very tight. If u are 10 or less play the back tees for sure. par 3's are tough... Gps in Carts are very nice......Nice cart staff July 14, 2014
Interesting Mountain Course Really enjoyed this course. Very much a mountain course, with elevation changes, doglegs, interesting views and quite a few tight tee shots, particularly from the blue or gold tees. Despite the rough winter in the area, the course was in great shape, including the fairways. Loved the layout ... each hole was a gem. The par 3's were particularly interesting . A great variety of holes and distances... I think I used every club in the bag. Carts were great, and the GPS system was about the best I have ever used. We did see a ranger, and pace of play was pretty good. Staff friendly and accommodating. The greens were in great shape but featured a lot of pitch. It will take a few times to learn the best spots to put the ball on the greens to avoid almost certain 3 putts. No practice facility, but there was a large net to hit into to warm up by the first tee. We plan to come back and play this course again. June 27, 2014
Way Overrated This course is way overrated. While the pro shop staff is very friendly and the landscape offers some great views, this course does not deserve 4 stars. The Good: The greens were generally in good shape and rolled true. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Bad: The design is just weird, especially from the back tees. The Ugly: You will find 1/2 the tee boxes are nothing but weeds or just plain dirt. The fairways are patchy. Trees are overgrowing the already narrow fairways. I have seen municipal courses in better condition. The course didn't get this way in a month--- it took years of neglect and there are no signs of a renovation. There are so many better options in WNC. June 27, 2014
Great Conditions, Tough Course Cummings Cove is in very good condition. I played as a single and groups let me play through graciously. It is a good layout for mid and low handicappers. Beginners should consider an easier course. You will have many varied lies on the fairways. \\\\\the greens have significant slopes, but they are not ridiculous. It is a premium mountain course at a fair price. I will play it multiple times this season. June 18, 2014
