At The Currituck Club, Rees Jones has brought to life his philosophy of golf course design – to create an environment for the game of golf that is challenging, fair and aesthetically pleasing, using as his canvas the type of land where golf began.

Rees Jones produced a breathtaking layout that stretches across 6,885 yards of remarkably diverse coastal terrain, including sand dunes, wetlands, maritime forests and sound side shoreline.

Our spectacular championship course was rated one of the “10 Best New Places You Can Play” by Golf magazine, and in May of 1999, Golf Digest recognized The Currituck Club as one of the “Top 25 Courses in North Carolina.”

Better than last time Had a great time with our longtime friends. Course was in better shape than the last time we played. Greens in very good shape. Tee boxes still need work. Way way too much dried grass clippings in fairways. Staff is very friendly, very helpful, except beverage cart girl - must have been having a bad day. July 3, 2015
Top ranking course at OBX My only complaint was that the greens were slow but they told me that before the round. However, all putts rolled true. Greens in good condition and accepted shots without skipping off. From tee to green, a pleasure to play. Nothing tricked up. Bunkers had nice soft sand. Carts had excellent large colored GPS displays with yardage map and info to/carry hazards. Beverage cart service (on a Monday afternoon) was much appreciated. It came around 4 to 5 times on a 90+ degree sunny day. I even saw the water coolers being replaced with icy water. This facility has very good service and aims to please the guests. June 16, 2015
must drive it in play Course condition was good, greens could be faster. June 16, 2015
Early season, rough shape I have played this course many times and I really like it. It has always been on the pricey side, however. This trip was disappointing, unfortunately. In early June the course remains in very rough shape, with large dead areas in tee boxes and around the ridges near the greens and bunkers. They blame winter cold damaging the grass, but I wonder about course maintenance. Making matters worse, they had just aerated greens. So it was rough all around. That didn't impact pricing, however. Paid $110 per player AFTER the GolfNow 19% discount, so felt like we overpaid for a very average or below course. Staff remained friendly, and the facility is very nice. Hope the course is in better shape in July. June 4, 2015
a bit too expensive. For a fee high like theirs I would have expected something better. Front nines are much better and nicer than back nines. Greens were in good condition. June 1, 2015
Disappointment The greens were being air rated so we had to play the front nine twice the greens were bad and the play rate was very slow the second time through Also the prices for soft drinks and snacks was extreemly high $3.75 for gaterade May 28, 2015
Needs some TLC I have played this course many Times and the conditions have gone down hill. Tee boxes were bare on many holes, area around the greens shaggy and brown spots on all fairways. May 23, 2015
Ease of play The course was in great shape. Thanks to them for doing golf now and hot tee times. The grill is great too but this time we opted for cold beverages from their great draft choices. The staff was great and beat the pro on a par 3 was great. The pro Shaun was great and he had to use a 4 iron versus our own club choice. Easiest double my money I ever made. Thanks Currituck Club. I will always come back May 23, 2015
