Fun course They had grass winter damage but still was able to play a fun 9 hole round. July 20, 2015
Courses need to list that they're under repair I booked this tee time on golfnow instead of calling the clubhouse and that worked seamlessly. HOWEVER, what you don't get, doing it that way, is the knowledge that the course's front 9 is hacked to bits and the fairways are being replaced and are mostly, unplayable, ground under repair. There has to be a way for you, GOLFNOW, to assertain the course's condition, from the venue, when they list their rates. Make it a check box, when they list it, eg. "Is course under repair/renovation?", "has course been aerated?", "have the greens been sanded?", or " is the course in pristine playing condition?". A simple, drop down, selectable check box like any other online form. It's an easy way for you to assure your customers on GolfNow; that they're receiving the best value for the money and, at least, are informed consumers. July 19, 2015
Be Advised Purchased round through golf now. There was no mention anywhere that the course was under construction. They referred to it as winter-kill but half of the course was cart path only due to treacherous fairways. The signature par 5 on the course was relegated to a par three with the tee boxes on a slope in the middle of the fairway. Didn't feel it was worth $27 to play nine holes of golf course. Twilight round Played this course for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Granted I did play twilight so the rate was amazing and pace of play was great. Conditions of the course we're good. Only thing I can knock is that 16 has no white tee box but it is being repaired so. I will definitely be playing there again. July 17, 2015
Great track - terrible service I would recommend the course and I will play there again but the girl working the bar was simply rude and awful and renegades the entire facility. Just golf - great course if you can deal with the heavy winter damage and course amendments. They have done a decent job working around it but front 9 is cart path only - THEY SHOULD CLEARLY COMMUNICATE THAT July 14, 2015
Winter kill rules Cart path only on front 9. Many holes reduced to par 3's. Would not go back until fairways are in better shape! July 13, 2015
The course was in very rough shape I was looking forward to playing Rocky River once again as I hadn't been there in awhile. When I arrived no one informed me that the course was in such rough shape and repairs that were being to the fairways due to the drought. The course reduced many of the par 4's and 5's to par 3's, very disappointing. I would probably hesitate to recommend the course in the state it is in now, especially for what they are charging. I would recommend waiting to play the course in the fall to allow the course repairs to take hold. July 7, 2015
par 3 course I played this course for the first time this year and they have lost the fairways on the front 9 and all but 3 holes are now par 3's. Some holes are now at the ladies tees but the longest one of those is still only 230 yards. If your going to do that you must let people know even if they book online. To just show up and find out as you play is unfair I feel cheated. July 6, 2015
