Rocky river never disappoints The course is always in very nice shape. I enjoy the layout of the track and it is a place that I always look forward to playing. October 11, 2014
Really Improved Course I hadn't played Rocky River in 5 years or so and was amazed at the great shape it was in. Greens are great, teeboxes and fairways were really good, and pace of play was good. This is a challenging course - we played Green Tees (like Blues at most courses) and if I had stepped to the tips it would have been a lot of golf course. Good variety of holes that move both directions, require solid approach shots, but you get rewarded when you hit a good shot. Solid par 3's, good par 5's, and a nice mix of long and shorter par 4's. Highly recommend this course. Price was $65 on a Saturday morning at 8AM which I thought was very reasonable for 18 w/ cart. The course is walkable and I believe it is allowed for members and non-members. If you are in Charlotte area and are looking for a good public course I would highly suggest Rocky River. Nice course for the money Very nice course. Staff was friendly. I played as a single as was to be paired with another single and pair. They gave me my own cart and let me tee off early by myself. The fairways and greens were in real good shape. There was a few challenging holes, but most of the course was reasonably easy. I booked on golf now on one of their hot deals, so, I got a good experience for the money. September 21, 2014
Course is in great shape greens roll great I was paired with three very nice people had great round of golf , course is in great shape and the greens roll very nice. September 11, 2014
Coure Overrated This course though difficult is overrated and excessively pricey for the quality... There are several holes with significantly overgrown hazards. greens were fast but well manicured.. There are other courses in the area which are less expensive and offer better quality golf. September 10, 2014
Not Junior friendly, nice course. Very disappointed with club policies on junior golfers. Rocky River is one of 3 courses in the area that I have encountered that are not junior friendly. My 4 year old daughter plays 3-4 holes over the entire round, from greenside. They wanted to charge her $16 for 9 holes to play, and/or just to ride and not play. I was told on the phone she could ride without having to pay, so they let that slide. This was the 2nd time we played, and the first time they had no problem with it (on a Saturday), so maybe they have some staff that realized being junior friendly will help everyone. I love the course, and it's in great shape, but won't be returning with my group. September 2, 2014
Awesome Greens This is my second time playing the course. I enjoyed it even more this round. Facilities were in great shape the greens rolled really nicely. A challenging but fun golf course to play. Would highly recommend it. September 2, 2014
WOW! Wow! What a great course. The course was in great condition. Clean, green, well cared for. Sand was good, greens were smooth and fast, and the fairways looked great. It is right next to Charlotte Motor Speedway. I wasn't sure what it would be like with it being so close, but I was pleasantly surprised. Can't wait to play it again and can't recommend it enough.
