Beautiful, challenging, very un-Long Island like.
Lots of sand, lots of water, and very challenging from the blue tees.

Stll winter conditions but very nice, although 38 dgrees with 30 mph gusts.
Enourmous number of sand traps, and some hard to get out.
If you play controlled golf and feel free to layup more than normal can do pretty well.

Classy course
I always enjoy playing Willow Creek, its a cut above most others. The layout, conditions and amenities all satisfy. Better hit it straight though, lots of water and sand.

Visually Stunning
Could be the most visually stunning golf course on LI, Plays like a FL course, Biggest problem encountered were the long par 3 which backed up groups.

Everything you would expect in a golf course
This course is everything you would expect almost all around. Green maintenance is especially commandable. The apron around the green is one of the best in non-private clubs. The only thing I would wish them to improve on is the pace managent. It doesn't seem like anyones keeping an eye on intervals between somes going and no rangers enforcing players paces once they are out. Over all, this is a great course and would definately recommend to friends!

Challenging and memorable variety of holes.
Good course, decent to very good shape. Can be a bear in the wind. Lots of water, almost like you are playing in Florida. Greens difficult - need to focus - even on short putts.

Challenging but fair
This course is well maintained, and you can tell that pride is taken in this by course management. I am a 2.5 handicap, and played this course from the back tees. It requires attention on every shot, but by no means is an unfair challenge. Tee shots require not only distance but accuracy, and course management has to be considered on every shot. Greens were in private club condition, rolled perfect and true everytime. This course is about 45min from my house, and while i have many courses closer I have played this course once a week since the end of june this year. It's definetly worth the trip. I have not played this course from any other tees, but from what I can tell of the course the front tees make this a manageable course for the not so long hitters or the higher handicaps. I believe everyone can enjoy this course. It's a must play on Long Island

They are so polite. and sincerely. They gave favor to discount due to airration on the green not like as other courses did. The view ia so beautiful. We had a fun joyfully.

great course-nice layout
course was aerated on a number of holes and was not notified either online or by staff. The holes that were done were not cleaned up and you were moving aerated plugs so you could swing or have a shot. Course needed a ranger. Back nine took forever and had to finish last hole almost in darkness.

Unacceptable pace of play
5.5 hours!!! No marshals on course, and nobody on staff seemed to care. Nice course, but waaaaay too slow.

Beautiful and challenging course
Excellent conditioin, fairways and greens some of the best I have played on. Hills, water, traps and distance make this a great challenge. Good discount on the fee also, via Golfnow.

Superb
Greens are some of the toughest on Long Island, they run fast and undulate. Fairways, greens and bunkers are all kept in tip top shape. This course is a hidden gem on long island.

Course is in great shape and offers a variety of challenges.
Enjoyed playing the course for the first time. Paid 50.00 on golf now.. Was a stormy day so the pace of play was quick. Only negative was the guy at the register seemed annoyed to stagger tee times because of rain delay.

Hidden Gem
You wouldn't expect to play a public course like this on Long Island. Most of its features remind you of resort courses in Florida, Plenty of water with fountains in the middle are a rare sight on the Island. The course is well maintained and the staff treats you as if you are a member of a private club. Each hole is unique and will challenge you regardless of your index. It is also a great value when you book your round on GolfNow. $49 is a steal. The only opportunity is the 19th hole(if you care). Not the same service you receive around the rest of the facility.
