Douglaston Golf Course is located in Douglaston, Queens. Formally known as North Hills Country Club, it became a municipal course in the early 60's. Douglaston is situated at the highest point in the Borough of Queens, providing picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline.

The beautiful old clubhouse was completely redesigned in 2004 and includes a lavish catering facility. Also in 2004 the golf course underwent a major renovation by the acclaimed architect Stephen Kay. If you want to play slow this is the place to go This is one of the slowest golf courses and you can play a full round of golf forget about twilight..i'd rather play any Long Island course November 12, 2014
A course from the past. It's been 35 years since I last played the course. It seems to be in much better condition and maybe a different layout. The greens were very nice and the only problem is with so blind shots the rouge is too high to find balls that you could not follow for the hold flight of your ball. November 2, 2014
Nice short course for an easy round This is a city course and they keep it in good condition. I had not played in in a while and was very surprised at how good the condition of the course was. It is a short course (par 67) so you should be able to score really well. Lot of par 3s so if you are hitting the greens you will fair well. There are some challenging holes with some blind shots, but most are pretty straightforward. As with all courses if you are hitting it straight you will be good, especially here as that creates some excellent scoring opportunities. The rough is pretty thick on some holes so better off hitting shorter clubs straighter, especially given the short length. It is nice to throw this course in now and then compared to some of the more difficult courses in the area, lets you feel like you are better than you are :) November 2, 2014
Always in good shape Great place to play. Not overly challenging for average golfers like myself. October 31, 2014
Sweet course This is a sweet little gem tucked into the far eastern reaches of Queens, high on a hill with great views, rolling fairways, undulating greens and surprisingly great conditions. Staff was very friendly and I'd highly recommend the course. Only downsides are that it's got too many par 3s (7), not enough par 5s (2), and bunkering of greens are generally too easy. But you can walk out of here with a low score and a good experience. October 20, 2014
Unexpexted find in New York Moderately challenging, with straightfoward water holes and hilly terrain. October 18, 2014
Greens are impressive Short course but very enjoyable, fairways are tight, great were great shape October 4, 2014
Play there late in the day I try to get in 9 holes and usually can get more. I play after the price drop which is 4 pm and becomes 3 pm on September 15th. Usually if I get there a couple hours before dusk I can get my 9 holes in. The course is in decent shape except for a couple holes where the Canadian Geese make a mess. Beautiful views of the City. This was once North Hills Country Club. This place can get crowded and is more typical of public golf in the New York Metro area. I hear that golf is in trouble because people are not playing. You never would know that around here. September 17, 2014
