Built in 1969, Rondout Golf Club was originally a nine-hole course and part of what was then known as the Rondout Pool, Tennis & Golf Association. After a change of ownership, an additional nine holes were added to complete the current layout. In time the Pool and Tennis portions of the name were discarded and the club became simply, Rondout Country Club, and finally, Rondout Golf Club. The new nine have been integrated into the original nine to create a challenging, yet playable course enjoyed by players of all skill levels.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice course; great value Nice course in need of some updates, but it looks fairly well maintained. Beautiful views, and a very pleasant round. It's the only 18 hole course in the area that I know of. The carts were in good shape, some of the paths were pretty beat up. You can tell there is a drainage problem. But for $35 bucks you can't beat it! Enjoyed it, and will definitely go back! September 24, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not worth what the reviews give it Let me start off by saying I am NOT from the area. I have a very diligent process of finding great courses in areas that I'm not familiar with. All the reviews and website made me think I was going to find a gem in the Catskill Mountains. Boy was I wrong! When I got to the parking lot cars were parked in complete chaos. Golfers walking up to the 1st tee with cut off t-shirts. When I got to the pro shop, it was almost like I was non-existent. The man looked up didn't say anything so I started by saying my name and I had a tee time. He just told me the price and handed me a key and didn't say anything else. I had to ask to get any information like, is there a starter or is it just first come first serve on the tee? His reply was fit in anywhere you want. The twosome I was supposed to be paired with brought a twosome with them totally unannounced. When I arrived at the first T, the markers were pulled up so they could cut. And yes they were cutting Green and tea boxes while I was playing. One time I had to wait for the man to stop cutting the tee box. Most of the Green where in good shape but very slow and inconsistent. Some of the teeing areas, we're OK, but the fairways are atrocious and there is no difference between fairway and rough. The cart paths were so bad that 90 percent of the time I drove next to them. September 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great course! Soo happy we booked a tee time with Rondout! Very challenging...not the nicest fairways but ok..greens were nice and views breathtaking. I highly recommend this course. We also booked through GolfNow app which made check in seemless. Thanks again...oh and try the doggies on the turn...just like Yankee Stadium. August 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great track in need of renovation I REALLY enjoyed Rondout Country Club golf course. It is a consistently challenging course with beautiful views in the Catskills Hudson Valley area. Clearly, the course is suffering from a lack of resources. The cart pathes are in desparate need of repairs, the fairways need watering, the tee boxes need to be cleaned up, divots repaired, etc., but underneath all of the cosmetic problems is an excellent layout that is very challenging, especially the par 5s. We got an incredible deal on golfnow, and I'd urge avid golfers to give this place a look and trial run. It was a very fun day, albeit frustrating sometimes. August 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice course Nice course with some a great view of some of the Catskills from 1st tee. A challange for sure for the average duffer. Lots of water fast but fair greens. Had a great time playing. Played early morning, the 2 of us got around in about 3:45 there were others on course but pace of play was great. No slowdowns or anyone rushing us. Will return. Rated 4 out of 5 by Good place TP play. Have had a lot of rain, so fairways were very wet in places. Greens in very good shape. July 11, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Overrated Greens are not in good repair other than 9 and 18. Early fees cheap because greens and t boxes not cut until after 0800. Tee boxes in less than fair condition. Cary paths very poor condition. Carts need to be reaves. Poor drainage. July 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better and better First time this season playing Rondout, but surely not the last! Many improvements and outstanding course conditions. Greens, tees and fairways all lush and manicured. June 29, 2015
