very clean course
We had 4 in our group... They were airating the front nine which was a bummer, so we had to play the back nine twice.. Giving the time of year I thought the course was in excellent shape. I think any level of golfer would enjoy playing here, pretty wide open.. The club house was beautiful and the staff were very friendly... I would play here again but call ahead to make sure the whole course is open.

Great course for the money.
My father and I played this course on 2/20/2013. It was a miserable day weather wise. But to our surprise, the course was in excellent shape. There is an great deal of water here, so bring extra balls, lol. On the day we played, it was 30 degrees and very windy, so it wouldn't be fair to give a review on the course length. Great facility, friendly staff, and a beautiful golf course, in spite of rough weather.

The birds are winning on this course.
Have played Harbor Pines many times over the years. Was really disappointed with the amount of bird droppings on the course. This is a problem that they should manage better, it ruined the day.

Overall, have enjoyed playing here, issue is green fees, unless I book thru golf now, would never play here, it is too high otherwise.

Nice open layout
The course made you think about your shots. The fairways ar wide open. The greens were a little rough but rolled very well. I would definitely go again.

Great New Jersey golf in January
This was a real value! Harbor Pines is an upscale course and we paid less-than-muni fees. Considering the time of year, the course was in great shape! I'm looking forward to playing this track in-season.

Harbor Pines is always one of the best maintained courses in the area & a pleasure to play. This course will make you play every shot in your bag & is really a very attractive course.

Great bargain and a beautiful day for golf.
It had been awhile since playing here, but we were happy to see the course in good shape. The summer derecho did take away a few trees, but everything seemed to be cleared away nicely. The only thing about this course is the large number of geese and what goes with that. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Greens rolled true but a little on the slow side.
The greens and fairways in good shape, but bunkers either not groomed or filled with water. Leaves on course well maintained, not an issue.

Wide open fairways. Very forgiving
Course was in great shape for end of the season. Nice views. Challenging enough but not too bad. Very forgiving fairways. Would definitely play again.

everything enjoyable here- great facility
played for the 1st time here on 10/24.. To see a public course at the end of October, with smooth fast greens and beautiful fairways maintained perfectly is what you'll get at Harbor Pines.. This is not a course that will beat you up with difficulty but its just a nice overall place to play golf.. The fairways are wide here, the greens are large and you'll never worry about short siding yourself. There are some water holes and a good deal of traps. The traps were all pristine and well raked.. The par 5's can be reached in 2 by big hitters here. The staff is great.. We even had beverage service on the course at the end of October on a weekday.. Play here and enjoy as we did today for our 25 dollar golfnow.com rate.

clean, challenging, and affordable
I golfed this course on October 17th, and it was in great condition. The course was maintained like it was the middle of summer, and trying to attract all the people that flood the shore at such a time of year. The greens were clean and challenging, and all of them held the same type of putting tempo, no surprises ! I was able to play at my own pace because it was early afternoon, and no one pushed me from behind. Better yet, nobody slowed me down in front. The fairways are also in great shape, and for the $25 green fees that I was able to get from Golfnow.com, I will play this course a number of times during the fall/ winter season. The carts are also in great condition, and don't feel like they're about to run out of juice before you finish your round. GREAT PAR THREES !!!!!

Nice to play
On our 1st visit to Atlantic City we wanted to get out and play a nice course. This fit the bill. The course was friendly and scenic with woods and water hazards along the way. Several holes were scenic and well trapped. Course condition was respectable but not exceptional. The staff and the food were great and price in line with what you would expect. Our round was quick with few other players on a Wednesday allowing a relaxed atmosphere. The course allowed my non-golfing wife to join me at a modest fee. It may have saved us some $$ but getting us a break from the casinos. Ou thanks to the staff.

On this day the course was outstanding, All conduction of the course were like a pro course and the US Open would be a great setting for the course

This course must have been REALLY great a few years ago.
The first impression is great. A nice looking clubhouse and great drop off area with practice green and driving range. We arrived about 2:40PM for a 3:04PM tee time on a Monday in early August. I checked-in at Pro Shop and the starter said we could go right off.
The tee boxes, fairways and greens are among the largest that I have ever seen and certainly the largest in South Jersey. You could hit Driver on All the par 4s and 5s. Layout was fun and different on every hole
The course condition was not perfect but playable. The tees, fairways and greens were a little spongy and there were areas on every hole that were bad and maybe not maintained as well as it should be.
It would make sense because this course was one that I wanted to play but didn't want to spend the money for a few years ago. Business is down and the rates are down. Which means that conditions are down.

Rainy round at Harbor Pines
The course was in great shape and in much better condition from when I last played it a 2 years ago. Service was very good and pace of play excellent. There were some pretty big downpours before our round, and 1 quick one during our round. Because of this some of the drainage areas on the fairways were puddled/flooded. A few of the bunkers could've used better drainage, too. Teeboxes and greens were in nice shape. The course layout is good and very playable for all levels, especially for women. Mind you Harbor Pines t is NOT extremely difficult nor especially creative in its design, but is still somewhat picturesque and challenging enough.

Perfect for early afternoon play...
I played Harbor Pines for the first time on a mid-August afternoon as a single. The course was pretty open at the time, so the round was fairly speedy. The conditions were a little chewed up, but certainly passable... and the layout was nice. Old-school AC... which I really like. I would definitely visit again for the right price during the week.
