Set along the shore of Lake Tahoe and amidst the pines and mountains of the High Sierra, Edgewood Tahoe is located at 6,200 feet above sea level. Because of the high elevation you will get an extra 6 to 10 percent more distance than at sea level.

Set along the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe, Edgewood Tahoe is in arguably one of the most scenic golf courses in the world. Designed by George Fazio and opening in 1968, Edgewood is rated by Golf Digest Magazine as one of "America's Top 100 Golf Courses". A challenging but fair test of golf for all ability levels, a choice of four sets of tees gives all golfers a course suitable to their game, playing from 5567 yards to a demanding 7379 yard test of golf. Take a must see virtual tour of the golf course from each tee and green.

Despite Edgewood's relative youth, the golf course has played host to a variety of major golf events. In 1980, the U.S.G.A. would host an event in the state of Nevada for the first time. The 55th annual US Public Links Championship came to Lake Tahoe with Jodie Mudd, a junior at Georgia southern College coming out on top.

The U.S.G.A. would return to Edgewood Tahoe in 1985 for U.S. Senior Open Championship. Miller Barber came away with the title that year and was the only player in the field to manage to break par that week on the demanding layout. Making birdie on three of the first four holes of the final round, Barber's three under par total bested Roberto De Vicenzo by four strokes for his second consecutive Senior Open title.

Most recently, Edgewood has been the annual home of the Celebrity Golf Championship. This fun filled event features some of the biggest names in sports and television. Michael Jordan, John Elway, Mario Lemuix are just a few of the names that have graced this event. Sponsored by American Century Investments and featured on NBC annually, is golf tournament the entire family can enjoy. This years event will be held July 6 - 8, 2001, with practice rounds beginning on the July 3rd.

Edgewood has a long and rich history dating back to the late 1800's. In 1896 the Park family purchased Friday's Station and the surrounding ranch land. The station served as a stage line for Wells Fargo Express and the Pony Express, along with "the finest hunting, fishing, and general well being to be found in the Tahoe region". Friday's Station still stands to this day and can be seen directly across Highway 50 from the fifth green. This property along with the golf course is still owned by the Park family today.

Edgewood's golf tradition began when Brooks Park had the vision to create a world class golf course on property that was once used to graze cattle on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Mr. Park would couple this vision with his family's hundred year commitment of delivering only the highest quality experience. Renowned architect George Fazio was retained to design a golf course worthy of world class beauty provided by a site unmatched any where in the world. With views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains throughout the course, Fazio beings the golfer to the shores of Lake Tahoe the final three holes for an unforgettable finish. George's nephew, Tom, with an outstanding reputation of his own, has continued with a number of course improvements over the past decade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by great layout beautiful location really enjoyed the layout . really good par 5s with elevated greens . long challenging par 3s . greens are really tricky and super firm . aim for the front you get a good bit of release . worth the money in my opinion. August 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Check one off my golf bucket list! OUTSTANDING!! This is one of the finest golf courses I have had the opportunity to play! For the green fee it is still fantastic! Don't know that I will ever play a more senic golf course! The greens are perfect! August 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spectacular settings Up there with pebble beach and Samoset. One drawback were the four guys in front is playing from the wrong tees for their skill level which caused our round to approach five fours! Expected to lose many balls with all the water. But the fairways are generously proportioned and lost only one ball when I went pin hunting and just missed and bounced up into water by a green. August 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice views but over rated Greens were not consistent, holes 8&9 had very slow greens, the balance of the greens were moderate. Very pretty views of mountains and Lake Tahoe.. Fairways cut very short and roll a long way making drives and fairway shots go further. August 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Classic golf in pristine setting I still don't think this course gets its just due. Laid out in one of the most stunning settings in the world, Edge Tahoe is one of my all-time favorites. I hear from time to time that the layout isn't that special, but I remember every hole from start to finish. All the par 3 and par 5s are entirely different from one another, which is rare on any golf course. The 16th, for example, with the tree in the middle and a series of difficult greenside bunkers opening up to Lake Tahoe, is one of the best par 5s in the world. Add in excellent conditioning during peak season, a great clubhouse and those terrific brats at the turn, and you've got a world-class golf experience. June 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Picture perfect setting, classic Fazio design There is a reason the celebs love playing Edgewood Tahoe: seems like dang near every hole is dogleg right, making it a slicer's dream. But in all seriousness, the setting couldn't be better. It's a classic father-and-son Fazio design that showcases spectacular Tahoe views and tall pines. The clubhouse dining and bar area is superb, and the cart gals know how to make a fine bloody mary. I will never visit the south shore in the summertime without stopping by here, even if it's just for a drink at the clubhouse. It's really a perfect resort course (even if it's not technically at a resort) minutes from all the big south shore casino hotels. February 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by the course is in great shape but it is pricey i love this course, i have played it multiple times. Its in great shape always at least when i have played it, but it is a bit of money to play. I would say if you have not played it, its worth it to go play. August 2, 2013
