Rhodes Ranch Golf Club
Great course for the money and in great shape. Fairways good, rough challenging, greens well kept, sand inconsistent though

Super Marshall/Starter *** Well Done !
First of all I would like to give a shout out to the man who worked as the starter and marshall. Super friendly, great positive attitude, a credit to the course. One of the best guys I have come into contact with at any course in his position. Made everything run smoothly. The course was very enjoyable to play, challenging enough, yet a course a high handicapper can also play. Some courses are just fun to play and I would rank this one as of those. I was going to comment on the slow bumpy greens, they kinda looked bad, but then I had 23 putts for the round, made everything I looked at and shot a nice 75. They actually rolled better than they looked. Nice to have some sand in the bunkers, so many courses in Vegas don't. I enjoyed my day, will be back again.

after a long layoff
Had an 8:04 tee time as a single. Paired up with another golfer and went off at 7:50. If you keep it on the fairway you're in good shape. Into the rough makes for difficult shots. greens were good overall. Only had to wait a couple of minutes for golfers ahead to clear the green. Finished in just over 3 hours. A good course with lots of challenges, but not to the extreme.

I've been playing here for years but haven't been much lately. The reason is the course can get very busy and the rates stay high because they get a lot of tourists. Also I have seen some horrible conditions in the summer. This time the pace was alright and the course was in good shape. Hope it stays this way all summer.

Poor Overall Experience
The course is beautiful, and well maintained. The putting and copping area is spacious, but that's about all the good I have to say.
The cart we were given sounded like it was about to breakdown and the brakes were so worn out it was scary on steep downhills. There was a 40 man scramble a few groups ahead of us, which would make you think their would be at least a couple of drink carts roaming around the course, well there was only one, and we didn't see it until the 10th hole. The pace of play listed on our cart was 4.5 hours which is reasonable, but the groups in front of us were well behind that pace and the Marshall did nothing about it. We also had some apparent unlv golfers behind us who hit into us no fewer than 5 times during the round. We ultimately called it quits after 13 holes took us nearly 4 hours...
I was also not a fan of mats only on the driving range, as there was plenty of great, untouched grass that wasn't allowed to be used. People who did go on the grass were quickly publicly reprimanded by the starter, so beware!

Rhodes Ranch is back!
Bumpy, patchy greens? Hardpan bunkers to "drop-kick" your ball out of? No more!!!
This was one of my favorite courses in Las Vegas until it struggled to be playable for the last few years, but on a hunch I went back there after the last aeration and it was just wonderful! The greens were rolling very smooth despite the two kinds of grass, the fairways were lush, the rough thick and tough but not completely unplayable- just the way you'd want a course like this to play. The aesthetics have always been a draw and it only needed some TLC to be a great place for a fun round again.
Thank you Rhodes Ranch for getting your act together- it's great to see you back! I'll be happy to return ASAP and I'll bring my friends (hopefully when the wind isn't blowing 2-3 clubs like today- but hey, sometimes you can't have everything).

The worst thing about this course was the driving range as I'm not keen on hitting from mats and the targets on the range race aren't the greatest. However, once you get on the course it is amazing, very challenging, and in immaculate shape!!!!
