Boulder Creek Golf Club
First off, have to thank the starter for pairing me with another single instead of the large group they had originally paired me with. He realized it would not be a good situation for me, or that matter, the other single I eventually got paired with.
Played the Eldorado, Desert Hawk 9's on this day. I think the Eldorado 9 is the easiest of the 3 9's but fun and well kept none the less. Desert Hawk had water and forced carries that came into play on several holes. Fairways and greens were in good shape with few if any dead or wet spots and greens rolled true in most cases. I also like the fact that there are no holes around the course. I paid about $62 via hot deal non resident, which was a very reasonable price for the track. All in all worth the drive out from the strip and would play again.

3 different nines
Boulder Creek is one of the best municipal courses I have played. There are 27 holes divided into three nines: Coyote Run - long with many bunkers, Desert Hawk - lots of desert waste areas and has the most altitude many elevated greens, El Dorado oldest of the three, wider fairways traditional desert course. The starter will inform you which two courses you will play for your 18 hole round. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The pace of play was very good - just under 4 hours for the round. The price paid was very good for a Las Vegas area course. I definitely will be playing Boulder Creek again!

Good value and beautiful views
We golfed in the afternoon on a cool and windy day (45 degrees when we finished). Overall, we liked the course and will definitely play it again. The windy and cold conditions put a premium on accurate driving. With the dormant grass rough, if you do not hit the green/fairway, you are automatically in the desert or water hazard, no question. Greens were good for the amount of play, although almost nobody bothers to fix a ball mark. Pace of play was a little slower than expected, but we learned a 5-some was two groups ahead of us (a big no-no!).

This day made me remember just why I took up golf in the first place. What a great staff. The course was beautiful and the weather was fantastic . It just doesn't get any better than this day was.
