the course is in great shape, but unfriendly staff gives bad overall experience
charge me extra $5 for the bucket of balls, just not a friendly staff. only the starter is friendly and helpfull.

Fun course, great staff
We were delighted with the friendlyness of the staff, especially the starter (from Oregon) who gave us some reliable "caddie" tips on the course, and has a great sense of humor. Course was in fine shape, no, not pristine, but indeed great and worth the money. Has some reasonable challenges , which added to the fun. We came back and played it a second day.

Resort quality course.
Hard to play to your handicap on this track, but it is well worth the challenge. Good design with risk/reward decisions to keep things interesting. Bermuda rough was mostly dormant. It will be a bear when it gets green.

Better courses in greater Las Vegas area for the money
Main reason for booking this course was intended side trip to Hoover Dam after round - enjoyed the sights at the dam. Therefore needed earlier tee time and deals not as plentiful before 10 am. Understand local residents get better price and perhaps worth it. Think blurb on course is misleading. This is not a premier course - at least the Desert Hawk and El Dorado nines are not. Coyote nine was closed. Desert nine appears part of failed real estate development scheme with layout accommodating future housing. Of the two nines, enjoyed El Dorado nine best as it is out away from houses. Glimpses of the local Muni across a main road made it appear in better condition.
Notwithstanding the above, the layout was good, with some interesting holes and changes in elevation. Condition was average with some rough spots along the fairways, tee boxes and greens. Staff were friendly. Played with a good fellow from Santa Monica. His views were similar on course. Lots of competition in Las Vegas for the golfer to consider. Do your homework and decide for yourself.

Good course, good condition, slow play, friendly staff.
Interesting golf layout, in pretty good condition for this time of
year. Pace of play kinda slow, but would play again in the
future. The staff was very friendly, and did not snuff us when
we gave them our GolfNow voucher, as had been reported in
past reviews. They gave us free range balls and use of the
course GPS system.

well maintained, requires accuracy.
Lots of doglegs to navigate and bunkers to avoid. Fairways are fairly wide but the course requires shot placement. Greens, fringe, fairways, rough, and bunkers are all well maintained. Practice green a little questionable but its the practice green, so... A couple holes have a questionable design, number 9 comes to mind. However, I think this course is worth checking out, if you want a good test.

You cant go wrong here
Always in great shape.. Staff is friendly and eager to please.

Worth the drive if you want to save a few bucks vs. Vegas. Good design for a flat piece of property.
This was a great course for the cost. I noticed there were some reviews about snooty staff when people presented their golfnow reservation, but we didn't experience that. Folks were very nice.
Pace of play was great all day (just under 4hrs for our foursome of double digit hcpers). It was a Wednesday, but mid morning anything can happen.
There are no tricks out here...other than a few wash areas that you have to lay up to on a few holes & #9 has a double hazard. Other than that it's pretty WYSIWYG. Good visual design with the dormant Bermuda in the rough/surrounds. Green speed was a bit on the slow side (9ish on the stimp), but still decent for the price. Good, solid golf course.

Pleasantly Surprised
I have played Boulder Creek on several occasions, but has been about a year since last played there. Was very satisfied with every aspect of the round. Other than the rough yellow and dormant(normal for this time of year) fairways were exceptional and greens very smooth and playable. If I had to find something wrong, I will say the bunkers were a little "iffy". All-inall a very good day on the course. Will definitley book again soon.

Course is so different than what I am used to playing.
Its hard to play quality courses when you haven't played for several months, and you come out and try to play cold, I have played Boulder Creek each year I come out for the last several years and will continue to play it. It is a nice, tuff course.

Enjoyed the layout and the value
It was in good shape and had a challenging layout. Had good diversity of holes.

Great fairways
We love the friendly atmosphere and wide open space of this desert course. The fairways are narrow in places but the quality and condition of the fairways are the main reason we play this course when we visit Las Vegas. A 25 min ride from the strip is well worth the effort to have a great day of golf. IF you hear "Hooting" in your backswing look up there are a steady stream of skydivers barely out of loft wedge range.

LAST in CUSTOMER SERVICE at Clubhouse!
I have been golfing at Boulder Creek for years. The course has much to offer as does the variety of course features offering 3 nines. Condition is always very good but in my opinion is beginning to slip. The inconsistency of the club house staff is disturbing. the snooty attitudes indicates to me under paid and unhappy staff. There are exceptions but for the most part this is what I find. I have brought many of my clients to the course in the past and this is how they felt as well. On occasion myself and many locals choose to purchase green fees through GolfNow.com which helps with the cost for the frequent player. I really am not sure why Boulder uses GolfNow as they most certainly look down on those that show up and announce they booked through GolfNow. Immediately the reception and feeling becomes none receptive. Most recently the management of the course has now begun charging for range balls to ONLY GolfNow customers. When I questioned WHY? the clerk told me the deal was good already and made us feel obligated and embarrassed when he suggested this in front of other customers. This was disrespectful and appauling. As if we were LEECHES and were simply looking to soak the course. This was UGLY and a sure way to lose customers. Other players have also voiced similar opinions. We also wondered that day as we looked around and noticed the course was much busier than we had ever seen in the past. We can’t help but wonder that now that things are busy it’s time to gouge and maybe run off people that have been regulars for many years? Not the way to maintain the good times as the bad times could creep back up on you in a hurry. I hope this is addressed as me and many of my friends would hate to stop golfing at Boulder.
best regards!

Great course.
We played this on a very windy day and felt like we could have been in Scotland or Ireland. Beautiful course! My only criticism was there wasn't a ball-washer on the course. A great value for the money and a course that will only get better with time.
February 21, 2013
Poor attitudes arrogant!!!
Always been my favorite course but the staff has been as issue for years. Price changes always and drown on you if u for a deal. Now charging for range balls if you use fold now!!! Terrible and unfortunate!!!!

Great course!
I enjoyed my time at Boulder Creek. There are 3 nine hole course and we were on the Desert Hawk/Eldorado courses. The rough is currently being died off, but the fairways, greens, and tee boxes were in excellent shape. Many of the holes on the Desert Hawk have waste bunkers lining the hole. The Eldorado course did not have any water hazards and played a bit easier. The $67.50 price point was a bit high in my opinion. It definitely would have been worth it at a lower price.

Challenging course, great conditions.
I found the course to have a fun layout, with challenging holes. Lots of bunkers, and relatively narrow fairways.
February 16, 2013
beautiful course,
when we arrived, we had our own carts designated for us with names/ttime/course routes. a very nice touch.
this course has wide fairways and a very long yardage from tips.
greens were a little on the slow side, but rolled very true
staff were helpful and and very accomodating.
eventhough this course is 40min from strip, its a nice change of pace and easy to enjoy the beaufiful views and gorgeous landscape. be prepared for windy conditions as this course is located in open desert

A most play if you in Las Vegas,it is about a 30 minutes drive from the strip, but well worth it

Good location for a Dam day trip.
The course is a bit of a hike from the strip (>30 min) but would be an OK addition to a day trip to the Hoover Dam. It is a reasonable good course. I saw some players in dungarees which may or may not set some pple off. Course was in reasonable shape considering the weather (turf was frozen < 1/2 inch under the green surfaces). It wasn't busy the day I played and we zipped around the course. Other than the pro shop, the staff seemed disinterested. Good price from GolfNow for those looking for "cheaper" golf in the Vegas area.

Boulder Creek
The staff was friendly, lots of variety in the holes and the pace of play was good
January 21, 2013
best of the three courses we played.
My girlfriend and i visited Las Vegas and played 3 courses. Boulder Creek was the best of the three. There may be a lot of "dead grass" on the sides, but there is plenty of plush fairway to catch your drives. I'm a beginner to average player who scores just under a hundred on most courses. To me, this course has its challenges, but wasn't beyond my abilities. The cost was modest and the staff was excellant. I'd recommend this course to anyone.

Challenging and beautiful golf course
Played the first nine with a nice guy named J. and two "other" guys.
The second nine was on the Mountain 9 with just J. and I While J. was a local he had not played that nine before, we both thought it to be magnificent. The course was a little long in places, but overall it is a must play. I got a great rate on golf now at about 40 bucks and could not have found a better deal. Range balls were not provided with the fee and a bitty bucket was five bucks. I passed on that and once down at the practice range found more abandoned balls than I could have hit in an afternoon, so take a look vs the purchase. I played on a Saturday about 50 degrees and light winds, very acceptable weather, course traffic was light. finished 18 holes in under 4 hrs even with playing the first 9 as a foursome. The staff was unremarkable - average, so OK.

Good challenge for all levels. Nice condition. Good pace of play. Excellent value.
Multiple tees provide challenge for all players. Some really unique holes. Several beautiful picture opportunities. Play was fast. Full practice facility. Very nice GPS on cart. I would like to see investment in a little reflective tape to allow use of Laser gun for distance.

Well Maintained Course
The course was well maintained and sufficiently challenging with a premium for hitting straight and staying on the fairway. Cart GPS system worked well. We had a great time and will play this course again when we are in the area.

Wow!
This is an excellent course with nice staff. So good I did not want to write this review and keep it a secret!
December 9, 2012
Worth the short drive from the strip
Well worth the trip, maybe even two to play all 27 holes. Played the Coyote-El Dorado nines. Great layout, strong variation and shot quality throughout. When in Vegas, drive to Boulder Creek for a nice round away from the neon (and LED) lights. You'll be glad you did!
December 8, 2012
A bit out of the way but worth the drive.
Excellent value for the dollars spent. Very good condition. Very helpful staff. A challenging layout that I will return to play again and again.

Great Course
Course was in great shape, thouroughly enjoyed the layout (no homes) and the design. Kristen, the cart girl was excellent. The check-in was a little bit lackadaisical, the staff didn't seem to pay much attention to us (or really care) and din't really give us any info on the course. Still have no idea how we were supposed to figure out the pin placements. Other than the poor check-in and lack of customer service at that time, was a great course and would definitely play again.
