Excellent layout in the beautiful Ozark mountains. The Ozarks were in near full bloom with fall foliage making the course one of the most picturesque I've played. The course was challenging yet forgiving, if your ball didn't stray too far from the fairway. The bent grass greens were very fast and well maintained adding to the challenge. I would recommend this course to all regardless of skill set. November 1, 2013
Very nice course, but with some challenges This was our first time playing this course and we were very pleased with the conditions considering the time of year. The variety of tees made it possible to find something to match most any handicap. The greens were a bit tough to read and hard but the fairways were pretty open which made for an interesting round. The pace of play was quite good until midway through the back nine when slow play by a group several foursomes ahead of us had things pretty well backed up. No course marshall to help speed up play. They say you can walk this course but I can't imagine why. It is pretty spread out and walkers couldn't possibly maintain a reasonable pace of play. We will definitely be back as this was the nicest course we have played so far in the Branson area. October 27, 2013
Outstanding layout! Beautiful scenery! Good, true greens. We thoroughly enjoyed the layout and scenery. The greens were nicely fast enough and true. Some tee areas were shoddy. The rough is too difficult--first cut needs to be shorter. We lost balls in the first cut twice. Yardages were difficult-- you need either more distance markers or, preferably, GPS on the carts. Standard 100, 150 and 200 yd markers were not evident; however, although courses of this caliber do not have to have them, they would be very helpful to the average visiting golfer. October 10, 2013
Beautiful, yet challenging course. This Ozark Mountain course was a joy to play. As long as the ball was in the fairway, the zoysia grass allowed absolutely no bad lies. However, if the ball strayed into the bermuda rough, it would sink to the bottom and could be lost within a few feet of the fairway. The bent grass greens were large with nice contours. They were quick, yet incoming shots checked up nicely. Playing the course was like playing in a marketing guide. The vistas were breath-taking. The greens were well-framed. I only experienced two blind tee shots while playing from the "copper" tees (the middle of five sets of tees). The course felt almost empty even though there were quite a few folks, both male and female, on the course. This was, without a doubt, one of the finest courses I've ever played. October 10, 2013
Enjoyed the day here, it is a great golf course. Played the blue tee's here at 6600 yards, seemed shorter due to the downhill shots. This course is wider than Payne Stewart but still very challenging. Many places to enjoy the view while you play. Greens were soft and fairways semi soft the day we played. Watch out for the wildlife, lots of deer and a few large spiders! October 4, 2013
Great course in need of some TLC This course is a great layout with some real challenging holes. Several holes could be featured on a postcard. There were two main issues our group encountered on the day - slow play & poorly maintained greens! 3 groups of a mix of golfers & non-golfers teed off in the groups in front of us & while they obviously had a good day they made it unpleasant for the groups following them. The last few holes they combined groups to slow things down even more. If only there was a course marshall around! Most disappointing of all was the state of the greens - filled with plug marks & bare patches. For a Troon course I expect a lot better than this! October 4, 2013
Physically Challenging The course is absolutely beautiful, and will challenge your golf ability, as well as your overall physical athletic condition. There's a lot of up and down walking from cart to tee boxes, and from cart to greens, so if you are not in such great shape... I wouldn't suggest this course. Other than that, this course is excellent. Greens are fast and fairways are near perfect. September 20, 2013
Great golf course --- no clubhouse This golf course is beautiful and challenging. I have not played here for a few years and thought they would have a club house built by now. The golf shop is still in the original trailer. I would play here again because it is a nice course. But a real clubhouse would be nice. September 17, 2013
