Bring some balls and brig spray. This is a very nice course with wonderful staff. When we went it had just rained pretty heavy the night before as well as this area has received alot of rain recently. Basically conditions were tough because of the ground being so saturated and the mosquitos were out like crazy due to all of the standing water. The rough is pretty tall so if your swing is lacking accuracy like mine then I would bring plenty of extra balls. I will come back again but will wait to let it dry out a touch more. This is a nice challenging course and appears to be kept up nice even with all of the water. I can't really blame the course for mother nature. All in all I would play this July 14, 2014
Nice track We played Deer Run with a Golf Now promotion and we were extremely pleased. The track is challenging yet playable. The par 4 holes seemed long but reachable. The greens rolled true. Course conditions overall good with some inconsistency with the sand traps (but we did have recent rain). Would play again. A note on traffic if you are coming from Lansing: Get off at M 50 and come in from the west as Cascade Road is closed east of the course. June 23, 2014
great rural course the course has been in very nice shape the past few times I've played there. staff is always great, it's an overall relaxed environment, and simply a great place to play! you can get stuck behind some slower beginner groups, that coupled with the length and rough can make for a long outing. the flip side, however, is that it's a nice place to take your slower, less experienced playing partners, or a good call for a leisurely round. Friendly Staff and Well Maintained I had a great time here. The staff let me get out in front of an outing on a Saturday morning. I played quick and the course was in great condition. I'll for sure be coming back. June 22, 2014
I got a great deal! The course is long and somewhat challenging> Very windy made it much more difficult! Course was in great shape and staff was very nice and accommodating. Received a nice little appreciation gift to boot! June 18, 2014
Good Day of Golf Enjoyed playing Deer Run. Course is in good condition and pace of play was good. Construction in the area did not close access to course. June 17, 2014
Course is alright. I've played at this course several times. Although I'm a beginner, I play quite often. Most of the greens are well kept, but with all the debris falling off the trees, it was obvious it wasn't cleaned at all. I had to remove sticks and leaves and other objects to make my line. Every time I've been to this course, I have been by myself or with a partner. I someone always reach a 4some by the 3r d or 4th green at least, and they won't let me or my partner and I play through. Instead of finishing within 3-4 hours, it takes 5. The overall people this course brings is terrible golf standards. Playing at quail ridge, Tyler creek, Saskatoon, and other courses around here I've always passed 2-3 groups ahead, most of the time without even asking. They just pause and let us play through. I've only played through once at deer run. The GPS on the browser doesn't even work when I tried it. If you have a group of 4, it should be a fun time. If you are looking for a quick round of golf, expect to wait behind people and have it not be quick. June 15, 2014
well maintained The course was in great shape. Greens had had good speed and the fairways was great. June 15, 2014
