Grand Haven is a traditional and classic golf course that provides a true country club experience for every golfer. The "Pine Valley" of Michigan, the Grand Haven Golf Club is a must play. It was recently featured in Sports Illustrated, Golf Digest, and USA Networks "PGA Tour Sunday."Sandy soil means that Grand Haven is playable almost immediately after rain—it also means better conditioning and course conditions.

Great shot-making is a prerequisite to navigate your ball through the towering pines and rolling sand dunes along the idyllic Lake Michigan shoreline. Rated among the top 50 public golf courses in the United States by Golf Digest for ten years, GHGC holds a ranking among the top 1% of courses in the Nation.

Excellent For A "Treat" Round I've played Grand Haven Golf Club twice now, and both times, I was overly impressed. The first time I played was after a huge storm, and part of the course was under water, but it was still amazing. This time, there was no such problem. The course is gorgeous, the facilities are wonderful, and the staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful. It's full of undulations and elevation changes, quick turns, sneaky hazards, and the occasional tree with the desire to swat your ball. My only knock is that it's a bit pricey (usually around $60 for 18) and if it weren't for the excellent golfnow deal I wouldn't have made the near hour trip. However, I will definitely go back. A BIT CROWDED FOR A TUESDAY NOON I reserved a 12:48 tee time. We arrived a bit early and were told to go ahead. We teed off and once arriving at #2, saw a threesome hitting their second shot on #2?? We then waited an average of more than 5 minutes at every tee box until #10 where finally the threesome waved us ahead. Once we played 10, we never saw another group ahead of us. The fairways were nice & greens rolled true. Seems like a little more general manicuring would make this course even more enjoyable overall. (Bunkers, 2nd cut of rough, transitions, waste areas, etc... Good value when playing on GolfNow. June 24, 2015
Vacation Nice course, challenging and very well maintained! -Arvin June 19, 2015
Tree lined fairways difficult greens Course was in good shape. Good amount of elevation change, large greens that were playing pretty fast considering the amount of rain the day before. A few holes had tight fairways making it imperitive to hit or you are in the trees. Definetly would recomend playing. June 1, 2015
Fair Course, but overpriced For the most part I liked the layout, but paid over $60 and it was not worth that kind of money. Two big issues: 1. Course conditions are not very good...slow greens and a lot of bare areas in rough, probably from the thick trees. 2. Staff was not overly friendly...not rude but just not what you expect...kind of just do the bare minimum. Had a good burger though. Would play again at a better price, but not what I paid May 25, 2015
Beautiful course. Great value. Fairways nicely cut. Can putt from in front of the green. A lot of leaves in some of the fairway bunkers. Beautiful tree-lined fairways. Excellent greens. My new favorite area course. May 24, 2015
Great city course. This a city course but with a real good layout. There are many houses alone the course and it is very narrow. We played on a windy warm Fall day so leaves were a issue. I could see that during the summer it would be fun course to play. I played the 5 par 3's at par with bIrdie chances. I would like to play again in summer. October 28, 2014
