Playable, challenging, but slooooow
The Jackal is a fun course to play if you have nothing else to do after your round. Every time I have played here it takes 5 hours to play 18 holes no matter what time of year it is. The last time I played here was on 11/10/12 and I had to skip the last hole due to lack of light. We started our round at 12:20 and the sun set at 5:30 that day if that is any indication. If you can get past the long waits the course itself is fun to play. There are some tricked up holes but most of the course is very playable if you can hit it fairly straight. Overall I like the Jackal but the long rounds are a turn off for me.

Slope rating is great. Not recommend to walk though.
The Greens were in excellent condition for being this late in the year. Fast and running around 10 on the stimp meter. Somewhat receptive. Fairways cut well and easy to determined the rough. A few tight driving holes such as #10 with water on the left. Plenty of green side bunkers as well. Would recommend for all levels of golfers with 20 handicap or less.

You will use every club in your bag.
Interesting course to play. Par #3 and #14 and you can call yourself a golfer. Nice set of par 3's. Play the right set of tee's or you won't have any fun.

Nice elevation changes from hole to hole. Great views.
Nice tee boxes. Great fairways and greens. Some traps need work most are in good shape. Greens have good speed and roll.

Omg what a geourgeous course. Golf cart broke down twice in one round and pricey but, will go again since the course is so nice and people working there are nice

Great views from the top of a ski slope....
This is always a fun course to play. The course is in good condition and has several elevation changes. It's nice to look at Brighton from the top of a ski slope. The greens all well-maintained and true. The only negative was my golf cart died on the 11th hole. The staff was quick to come out to change it and mentioned that the course is expected to get new carts next year. I would definitely recommend...especially at Golfnow prices.

The most fun I've had playing golf this year.
A golf course on a ski mountain (okay, hill) is a great idea. Several of the holes have towering tee shots providing hang times that can only leave you grinning. The course is not overly long and offers many strategic risk/reward alternatives. I played in late September and the course was in great shape (is that bent grass on the fairways?). My only complaint: I love to walk and there is no way you could walk this course.

This course has many scenic elevation changes.
The course shares land with a ski resort. There are many elevation changes and holes around hillsides. On many holes you're in the fairway or in the swamp so bring some balls if you're a slicer. The course was super maintained. Our cart ran out of electric after nine holes. We will definitely play there again.

A shot makers course, very challenging and great views.
Suprisingly great course. Good use of a ski hill during summer. Wide variety of terrain. Must bring "A" game to score well. Must hit the ball straight and in play from tee to really enjoy this course.

Wonderful Golf Course! Diffenitly will play again! Worth the drive from Toledo!
Was amazed at the scenic views...wished I hadn't left my camera in the car! Wildlife was wonderfull. Had to wait for a herd of deer to move out of the fairway before hitting my second shot on #3 hole. Very exciting!

A Really Fun course
this course is a hoot, you have to play it........ever golfed on the side of mountain?......ok, big hill maybe.......greens were fantastic too.
