Lake Charles Golf Courses

The city of Lake Charles overlooks a freshwater lake with the only white-sand inland beach along the Gulf Coast of Mexico. Local legends say the pirate Jean Lafitte made Lake Charles his hideaway and left behind hidden treasure on the shores of the lake.

Lake Charles offers seven 18-hole courses to choose from, including the Gray Plantation golf course. Said to challenge the pro and entertain the amateur, Gray Plantation has received the highest ranking of excellence in Louisiana by ZagatSurvey; and in a July 2007 issue of Golf Digest was included among the top 100 courses in the country, and ranked 3rd in the state of Louisiana.
