Lafayette Golf Courses
Known as The Heart of Cajun County, Lafayette’s strong tourism industry is attracted by its Cajun and Creole culture, and possibly its eight different golf courses.
Some of Lafayette’s courses include The Farm Golf Club, offering a PGA and LPGA course combined with a top-notch teaching facility. This 18-hole championship course is nestled in what was once the riverbed of the Mighty Mississippi, and once a tract used for growing cotton, soybeans and raising cattle; hence “Farm” in the name.
Lafayette is in near proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. When you play golf in the area, you will be teeing-off at about 36 feet about sea level.
