From Dawson to Sylvester, some great golf courses are at your fingertips in the Albany area. With four seasons and mild winters here in the wiregrass region of southwest Georgia, anytime is a good time to hit the links. Last-minute? No problem. If you are visiting, absorb some of the area's recent history at the Albany Civil Rights Movement Museum after your round. The area is also home to many hunting plantations; shooting Bobwhite is a well-staged luxury here in "The Quail Capital of the World." Shooting par requires much more finesse, however.
