The Robert T. Lynch Municipal Golf Course is located in south Brookline adjacent to The Country Club and Pine Manor College. This 18 hole public golf course was designed and built by Stiles & Van Kleek in 1931. More than $2 million dollars in course improvements have greatly enhanced the playing experience in the last ten years.

Good course
This course is offered frequently on GolfNow and for the money is a great place to play. It's biggest problem is drainage which seems not to have been too much of a problem last time even after some preceding rainy days.

too expensive for poor quality
I was called the day before and asked to move my tee time to an hour earlier. I obliged and when I showed up I had 12 people ask me what group I was with and then tell me where to go. 12 starters and NOBODY on the course enforcing pace of play.
Let's see there was standing water in fairways, trenches that cut across fairways, rude staff... but the greens were in good shape.
Overall, I can't say I'll be coming back anytime soon.

The Vine Ripe Grill, www.vineripegrill.com, includes a full service kitchen, grill & snack bar. We offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, daily specials, beer and wine. We also feature an outdoor food & beverage pavilion between the 9th and 18th greens offering a full service catering menu, grill menu and snacks.
Seating is provided in a large club dining room with a lounge and television, a private club room (Ouimet Room), and a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the 18th hole. All facilities are open to the public and are handicapped accessible, and are available for private events such as leagues, golf gatherings and golf outings.
