In Good Shape for Time of Year
Played 9:30am. Course for the time of year was in pretty good shape. Considering the rain the night and morning before, the course held up well considering it stayed below 50 degrees. Course is about the right difficulty as it plays not too hard and not too easy. The greens were the best part of the course. I would like to see better maintenance on the tee boxes. The fairways were in pretty good shape and other than the sogginess in some areas (which was to be expected) you couldn't complain. Had heard not so great reviews from playing partners and even my partner from this outing. His last trip here had been this past summer and wasn't impressed. Maybe a change in budget as we'll give it another try especially if we find a deal on Golfnow again.

Wish I would have played here sooner. I'll be back.
Played here for the first time on 11/18/2012. I have stayed away from this course due to others talking about poor course conditions, rude staff and how tight the course plays. Big mistake on my part. I had a great experience playing here and will be definitely be back.
The staff in the pro shop were friendly and efficient. Answered questions I had about pin locations, local course rules, etc. Cart I was assigned was clean and in good condition. It was equipped with 2 sand fill bottles and both were full which was a pleasant surprise. Lately it seems that the odds of having filled divot mix on a cart is less than 50/50. There was also a rake on the cart. Wish more carts had rakes because I’ve yet to play from a bunker and think that there were too many rakes laying around. Most bunkers I play from have one rake and it’s always as far away from where my ball as is possible.
Tee boxes and fairway suffer from the same issues that a lot of courses have. Lazy, careless golfers. Tee boxes and fairways were in reasonable shape. Both would be in good condition if golfers would just take the few seconds necessary to fix divots. Most tee boxes had either sand bottles or sand containers next to the tee markers, some had both and they weren’t being used.
Course layout for the first 5 holes are pretty average. Fairways are generous for the most part and I never felt that homes were too close on any holes. Number 6 is a par 3 with the first water hazard you come to and this is where the course starts to get interesting. The remaining holes can bring every club in your bag into play. Water comes into play on 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, 16 and 17. Some really nice par 3’s on the back nine. Ball placement is more critical on the back nine than the front as the holes tend to be shorter and a smart tee shot helps you set up a good second shot.
Greens were in great condition other than ball marks made by one of two types of golfers. Members or guests and neither is acceptable anywhere. Please take care of ball marks and divots. Green speed was medium and the greens rolled true.
I will be back to play here again. I guess I’ll have to play some others courses I have heard bad things about and see if my perception is the same. Is Indian Springs a championship course? No, but it’s far from being at the bottom of the pack of local courses in Louisville.

Used to be in excellent shape
Even with bermuda fairways, there are plenty of weeds. Played this course many times over the years and course has steadily gone downhill. Paid $11 with cart and felt that is all it's worth! Too bad as it is only 2 miles from home. Try Shelbyville C C for a great conditioned, challenging tree lines course.

Very good bang for my bucks!!!
The course was wide open and well kept. The greens were also in really good condition.

Evidence of improvements - shot maker's course
Good course - many challenging holes, especially off of the tee. The course is seeing the impact of a big inflow of improvement $'s...bunkers, green complexes. Cart paths still are pretty rough. Can't wait to see the end product next year....one of Louisville's toughest finishing holes.

Not Bad.
Indian Springs twists in and out of a neighborhood. As a result some holes are very tight. Some holes could use a better design. It is not a tough course if you hit it straight. If you spray right or left you could be OB, in the hazard or lose your ball. A good course if you get a good deal on golf now. Would not pay full price for it.

Great layout!!
This track has some very interesting holes, greens play true, tee boxes and fairways need a little attention. Any true golfer will enjoy this course.....

Precision Iron and wedge play required.
Tough tract from whites or blues. Shot makers course due to tight fairways and hazards. Conditions are average but for price good course.
