The Brickyard Crossing is one of the most unique golf courses in the world.
Located on the grounds of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway the
lay out features four holes actually inside the famed oval.
The most impressive aspect of the golf experience at the Brickyard is that the course is always in immaculate condition or “tournament ready” as Head Professional Jeff Schroeder likes to say.
The golf property at the Racing Capital of the World is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2009 and has hosted tour events for all three major professional tours. Some of golf’s greatest players have walked the fairways at the Brickyard including Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Gary Player won the PGA Tour’s 500 Festival Open in 1964 while Billy Casper won the PGA Tour event three times.
Known as the” Course of Champions” the Brickyard Crossing will play host for the fourth time to the Indiana Open Championship on July 7-10. The 6994 yard layout with a slope rating of 137 will provide a fair yet challenging test to determine who is Indiana’s best among amateurs and professionals
