The Royal Golf Group has purchased Hillcrest Country Club and renamed it The Country Club of Long Grove or simply, "The Grove." The 18-hole Country Club in Long Grove, IL is a private golf course that opened in 1964. The Royal Country Club of Long Grove measures 7019 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 133 and a 74.2 USGA rating. You will appreciate the golf course for its unique qualities. At over 7,100 yards from the “tips” it challenges the very best golfer. Four other sets of tees, ranging from 6,800 to 5,000 yards, make The Royal Country Club of Long Grove course eminently playable for any ability level. Lush bentgrass fairways and “fast but fair” bentgrass greens assure the quality of play. Sixty-three strategic bunkers, out-of-bounds on every hole, water in-play on eight holes and thousands of mature trees assure you’ll have to work for a low score. Not so great, poor condition, no gps, no course maps I paid $35 for a private course, so no complaints, it was relatively a steal. But I thought I was going to get immaculate. Could have played a local public course for same green fees and played better conditions. I heard new ownership 2-3 years ago and are working on upgrading. November 12, 2012

What a great value for $42! Purchased a Hot Deal on GolfNow on the date of play. Played a beautiful, fun, well maintained, challenging course for the price of a muni. Would defintely come back. Thanks for a great time! October 4, 2012

No way course is worth $150 I played on a Hot Deal for $42, unfortunately it rained the entire round. I played all 18 holes and the course was in so so shape. This course definitely is too big for its britches October 4, 2012

Very traditional but expensive! It's a semi-private course with free range balls and pitching area. The course is well maintained but a bit expensive for a round. September 24, 2012
