Great variety I wasn't sure which tees to play, so I picked the middle (blue). I will move back a set when I play there again, but it was nice not feeling beat up when I was finished. The course was in good shape despite recent heavy rain. The greens were slower than I expected, but with the multiple levels that was probably a good thing. Lots of elevation change throughout made the club selection on the tee very important. I really enjoyed the variety of holes. The short par 4's make for a fun round. I play very fast when I'm alone. Two groups let me play through with no trouble, and was able to play in 2 1/2 hours before it got dark. I will definitely play it again. October 9, 2014
Great layout; not so great conditioning The layout and routing are really interesting and often challenging. Greens where very good to excellent; fairways were good, but I have played better zoysia. Some of the traps were horrible; hard packed; bottomed out next to french drains. Signs that indicated to me that staffing of maintenance might be less than needed. Would probably play again because of how interesting the layout is, but certainly would expect better conditions in traps (since there are so many). October 6, 2014
Stonewolf We love this coarse. You will want to stay out of the many deep bunkers that weren't taken care of. Greens need attention. September 3, 2014
Love this course I can never turn down playing this course for less than $40. This is one of my favorite courses to play in the St. Louis area. Challenging holes but not impossible. I would highly recommend checking this place out. September 1, 2014
Sad for Nicklaus Upity help for a public course. Layout not bad, had help from a local veteran named Allen. Greens were horrid. Ball would leave putting surface 6 to 8 times in a 6ft putt. Hairy and horribly taken care of. Ball marks poorly fixed. Little to no sand in pot bunkers, though landed in only in a couple. Would have been enjoyable if better taken care of. The company of someone familiar with the course, was the only thing that kept me and my wife from leaving short. August 31, 2014
Course is in great shape. This summer has been good for golf. This course is still green and in great shape. Stonewolf has the friendliest staff around. Go play it today. August 30, 2014
Great course, bad experience It was too hot to play, which, when coupled with a wet course that meant carts had to stay on the paths and a lack of drinking water on the course, made it a bad overall experience. The course is a fun course and moderately challenging during better conditions, but the staff could have provided more watering holes on the course. We never even saw a refreshment cart until we drove off the course. August 22, 2014
Wet day The course, tee boxes and greens were in perfrect shape. We played on a rainey day and it had rained hard the previous two days so the bunkers were in poor shape. But looking at the course I doubt that is the case normally. August 18, 2014
