Beware First off, i hate bad reviews...rarely is an experience worth a complaint, but here it goes. It was a perfect day for golf, my dad and I had our Golf now tee time set and we're ready for a good day. Upon arriving we were "greeted" by the crabbiest older man who seemed most uninterested in our Golf now purchase. He was rude and even let some group who had no tee time go to the tee box at our exact time. They thankfully let us play through but would take shots at us when we were waiting for another group to finish a hole, so rude. That group in front of us was a group of 6, and slower than it takes to get one of those ridiculous gas powered golf carts going. A 6 some?!? Really? Unbelievable that it was allowed, a complete disrespect for the game and the players around them. The course looked terrible except for the greens and I'm excited to not play here again. Step it up Clinton hills, you have so much potential that you aren't using. May 8, 2015
Great Value For the Price Thanks to Golf Now for offering an excellent rate on the 18 hole greens fees. Course was in outstanding condition, making our round much more enjoyable. I registered as a twosome and the starter initially paired us up with another twosome, but upon mutual consent we separated after the first hole. This had very little effect on the pace of the rest of our round. Course layout very good, with the clubhouse conveniently located at the turn. May 8, 2015
Lost fairways in May???? This is not the first time I have played Clinton HIll. I was very impressed with the greens, they rolled very smooth. A bit more firm then I would expect in May, but not to firm to hold shots. The fairways and tee boxes were a total different story. Every single fairway was dirt. No joke it was like play off the infield of a softball diamond that has sat all winter. Every other tee box was in the same shape. You know its bad when your group picks the ball up out of the fairway and puts it in the rough just to be able to play from grass. I knew it was May the weather was beautiful like it should be in May, but the course made it feel like it was the end of August after a 12 week drought. Regular greens fee w/cart is $40 bucks. We found a hot deal on golf now for $20 or I would have been extremely frustrated and not nice I'm sure. Anyways I would waste my time at this course even for 20 bucks. Scottie May 3, 2015
Poor course conditions, extremely slow play The tees had very little grass and fairways were very spotty even considering the time of year. Greens were is good condition. We played 9 holes only in more than 2hours 45 minutes May 3, 2015
For the money Course had a few dead spots in the fairway, but other than that was in decent shape. Biggest complaint was there were a couple groups playing on a 5+ hour pace that would not let people play through... Had 3 groups stacked behind them waiting. I finally skipped 2 holes to go around. Nice Course, Difficult back nine The front nine was truly enjoyable. Not too difficult nor too easy, great for a beginner or regular player. We were told the fairways were not in very good shape as the grass had not grown enough, but we thought they were pretty good. The back nine was pretty difficult with water hazards, dog legs and bunkers but we were able to play it pretty well. A couple of holes were hard to determine, so we had to consult the map a few times. The back nine fairways were in poorer shape but still in good condition for this time of year. We had a wonderful time and would play this course again. May 1, 2015
Fun course, great value While it's an older facility, the course is actually in nice condition. It's early in the season so the fairways are a bit ugly, but the greens are in great shape. There are a few holes that require a layup or a perfect drive which makes for a nice challenge mid round. Pros: greens are great, soft and well groomed. Can't beat the price on golfnow, pace of play is nice because it's never too busy. Cons: no gps in carts, some holes are blind uphill shots that have water on the other side so if you haven't played before you'll lose a ball. Fairways and tee boxes need some love (hopefully later in the season it'll get better.) April 25, 2015
Fun little muny! This was a fun course to play. Many of the holes had a little character and most of thHappy Thanksgiving!!!e greens were guarded by sand which I like. I was very surprised at the condition of the course since it's winter but got lies in the fairway and the greens rolled really well. My only complaints are that they allowed a fivesome out and the previous players before me don't know how to fix their ball marks. That aside, I plan on going back after it greens up.
