The Kona Country Club Mountain Course has 18 holes, par 72 and 6634 yards. All prices per person and include golf cart rental. Kona Country Club at Keauhou Bay offers numerous golfing experiences. Golfers find themselves playing over lava tube blow holes, look over onto the Pacific Ocean or admire ancient Hawaiian archeological sites. Amazing ocean views from every hole! The fairways are concurrent to the ocean, and everything, including most greens, break toward the ocean. The 7th hole, the number-one handicap 420-yard par four, is a favorite hole. This hole features an elevated tee shot to a narrow landing area, and two right fairway bunkers and impinging lava. To make this tee shot successful, a gentle "right-to-left" shot should give you an advantage over the approaching sloping fairway. The approach is 130 yards from the right center of the fairway to a double-tiered mid-sized green, which is protected by a lake as well as a bunker at the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by currently closed these two courses closed last year, the ocean course is supposed to open summer of 2015. March 29, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible service This course is very tight and if you don't hit the fairway your ball is lost in the volcanic rock. The service was non-existent. i would not recommend this course. June 15, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Where is the staff???? Though this was a nice course, the staff was nowhere to be found. I had to get my own cart, put my cart away, etc. I never saw a staff person other than the guy at the counter who took my money. June 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great course though closing 6/7/13 until further notice. Course closing 6/7/2013 until further notice. Employees didn't know future of jobs or course. Might have new owners. June 7, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Course is a Dog. Absolute terrible place to play. Fairways were terrible, greens were worse, bunkers were washed out and had lava rock in them. This course wouldn't be a good value at $15 let alone the $50 we paid. Do not waste your time. June 5, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beauty in decline Beautiful layout, breathtaking scenery and a real challenge. That sums up Kona Country Clubs mountain course. But sadly the whole thing breathes the atmosphere of neglect. The cart we drove, would have made a fitting prop in The Flintstones: you could see right through the bottom and breaks were nonexistent. The bar was closed, the bunkers contained hardly any sand, a pond was dry, the on course lavatories were filthy and I could go on complaining. I won't. We had a fine round for $55 through a GolfNow deal. But I noticed that the standard greenfee is $150. No way! June 4, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice course, but closing in a week Arrived to learn course is closing in a week, so driving range and restaurant were closed. Golf Now should have noted this issue. No warm up and no food. The course was maintained fairly well considering their pending closing date; however, ladie's restroom was scary, some of the greens needed attention and the cart path was washed out in several spots. Looks like they are going to re open as there was a lot of noisy maintenance going on while we played. June 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome views Every hole was a Kodak moment, highly recommended. May 27, 2013
