Moanalua Golf Club was established in 1898 making it the first golf course in Hawaii and one of the oldest clubs in the country. Moanalua Golf Club was designed by Scottish designer Donald MacIntyre and owned by Samuel Mills Damon. The original design consisted of eighteen holes using the slopes of Moanalua Valley and the Moanalua Stream to create unique challenges. In 1908 Moanalua Golf Club was reduced to its current nine hole layout. Today’s golfer will find many challenges as they maneuver their way around Moanalua Golf Clubs difficult nine holes. With out of bounds on every hole, brisk trade winds and a stream that meanders through the course Moanalua Golf Club will provide a tough yet fair test to golfers of all skill levels. Although short in yardage Moanalua Golf Club places a premium on straight tee shots and very accurate iron play as our greens average only three thousand square feet. Moanalua Golf Club also has a full service club house for members and guests to enjoy a cold drink and delicious menu selections following their round.
