Challenging
Fairways need a little work; new ownership took away birthday offerings; greens recently aerated

nice layout with 2 long par 3's but reachable par 5's.
THERE NEEDS TO BE BETTER COORDINATION BETWEEN COURSE AND GOLF NOW TO ALERT CUSTOMERS BEFORE THEY BOOK IF GREENS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY PUNCHED.

The play was very slow and greens just punched
We were not told they just punched the greens until I walked up onto the first green. The two groups in front of us were awful and wouldn't allow us to play though. There were no marshalls to keep pace of play going. I will never go back here.

Terrible Bunkers and poor fairways
Not very impressed with the maintenance of this course through winter. Half the bunkers were unplayable and poorly drained. Many of the fairways have natural collection points for balls rolling from the tee shot and you are playing from dirt as the concentration of divots has not regrown.
On top of that either GolfNow or the club did not mark the course as having aerified greens (the main reason I chose this course over many others) and they were very sandy and uneven.
Wait to play this course in Summer/Fall when it is much better.

Very tough greens. Nice driving range and great course
Very challenging course and tough greens. Course of play is a bit slow due to crowded golf course. I highly recommend playing here.

Great course! One of the best kept secrets on the east side of town.
I always look forward to playing here because of the great course condition, the challenge that the 27 holes present, and the friendliness of the staff. If you haven't played here - it is worth your time to come check it out. Oh - and they let you play for free on your birthday :)

Heritage -
Heritage drained very well after the mid week storms. We could drive on the fairways - not even 90 degrees... some of the bunkers were still waterlogged though and in need of maintenance ( why the fairways drain and not the bunkers ?). Greens were in good shape. Staff was generally cordial, the one marshall we saw on 11, acted upon our request to see what the issue was with it getting really slow ... he went to the offending players and then it sped up greatly and no issues... wish we had seen him on the front 9.. Used the golfnow prepaid deal so I cant complain at the price... not sure I would regularly pay 55 plus fees - there are too many options and deals available... Range is good, hit from grass not mats. Played Legacy and Heritage 9s... Overall we really enjoyed it and will go back

Good course
It's different from the lower quality courses I play, it's challenging and has some interesting holes. I would come back and play again.

Very good shape for January
Course was in very good shape for Jan - with tee boxes and fairways in tip top with only 1 or 2 greens having a few rough patches. Only complaint is I've never seen a drink cart there - although they had plenty of water at various hole locations. Tough course for this early in season - uneven lies and elevated, undulating greens made for a long day. Great value.

Tough greens but loads of fun.
The course played tough but fair. The one feature that makes this course different than most is the severely undulating greens. It can be extremely difficult if you are on the wrong side of the hole.
The course was in excellent shape. The fairways were dormant Bermuda, and the greens were Bentgrass in very good shape. I only remember 1 green that appeared to have grass issues.
We played the first 9 (Legacy) from the blue tees. Distance was only a problem because it was wet and cart path only.
We played the Heritage nine from the whites, and it was equally enjoying. Love that last hole with its two shots over the water.
Fun course! We will be back.

Can be a tough test in winter conditions
I have played this course many times and think it has the best practice facility open to the public in the area. The layout is very hilly and you almost never have a boring flat lie. Most fairways have these deep depressions (I think of them as sink holes) with drain covers at the bottom of each one. That makes it even more difficult to get a flat lie in the fairway.
Greens are in decent shape, but seems like very few players repair their ball marks (or divots in the fairways).
Overall, it presents a tough test of golf.

Good value, close to town
this course is playing tough, and keeping up well in the cold. Just started playing it this fall. Looking fwd to hitting it in the summer.

Rolling terrain, with greens to match
Didn't get all 18 in, can only attest to what holes where played. You really have to drive the ball arrow straight, and precision iron shots into the greens. There is not a lot of room if you have the tendency to spray the ball. Also, the greens are very quick, but not the fastest on which I have putted. The greens hold the line very well, and undulations are very apparent. Good value for the money. Will have to play duroing the summer months.

tee boxs like sand traps, sand traps all dirt no sand,fairways need an overseeding, greens not bad but pin placement rediculous.

One of the better public facilities in ATL area.
Excellent golf course. Nice variety of holes/distance. Greens with lots of rolling breaks and never a straight put. Flat stick will make or break score on these greens. Can use every club in the bag.

A very Challenging Course
This is a very Challenging, but fair course. Wide landing areas off the tee, but tricky approach shots into well protected greens. The course condition is very good and gets its fair share of attention as is evident by the large number of workers keeping busy with upkeep throught the morning hours. I have recommended the course to several of my coworkers. I look forward to many returns.

second to none
Why do I play this course? It is beautiful. Why shouldn't I? It kicks my butt. There was a line of carts at the first tee yesterday, but amazingly the pace of play was swift. Wonderful day of golf, though the score left a mark.

This course allows groups of 5 which causes very slow play

Many interesting holes that are both picturesque and challenging.
I played the course in the middle of November so hard to say it was pristine, but for the time of year; it was in very good shape. I played the Legacy and Heritage courses and they were both great. I highly recommend the course to anyone visiting the Atlanta area. The overall layout was spectacular!

Excellent for the price
Very nice course. Top flight lighted driving range. Rolling fairways, undulating greens and deep bunkers. Good mix of short and long holes.

Great course layout with lots of challenging holes.
Played on a beautiful Sunday. Course is in decent shape. Greens in very good shape, true and with very good speed. Lots of people out playing but pace was good after an initial bottleneck on the back 9. Heritage requires a good array of shots and is in generally good shape. They've moved the blue tees up a bit from the normal location and it makes the course appreciably easier. No more 225 yard par 3's. Love playing there and Sunday was no exception.

Friday fun day
Enjoyed another round at Heritage.
Played the front and back, didn't make it to Tradition
Greens: good except #6, bumpy but playable.
Fairways: in good shape all around
Bunkers: could use some sand in a few, some were muddy
Tee Boxes: most could use some attention
Staff: seemed a bit overwhelmed
Time: front nine was good, a mystery foursome showed up in front of us on the back and it was SLOW. It was bad enough that when I looked up the hill on #8 a group was waiting in the fairway and on the tee box. We had no where to go because the mystery group was teeing off as we walked from the green.
I rate a 4 based on price, $40 for a last minute deal on golf now. Had I payed full fare I would probably drop a star.

Course knowledge is extremely important on this course
Fairways are in good shape however the greens were at best fair.

Good to Play
I played this course frequently, last time we played $55 box on Tuesday afternoon. That pricing was on average, however shapes in tee boxes and some grass need to repair. Overall shapes become good than past few years.
