Rated 4 out of 5 by Pace of Play I usually like this course. I arrived before my tee time and was allowed to tee off early. Teed off on the first hole, no problem. Get to the tee box on hole 2 and noticed that the group in front of me was playing best ball ( REALLY). They played the first 9 with best ball. I asked the starter if they were playing best ball and asked why? No explanation just YES. He then left and went to who knows where. No explanation still! This is the first time I have been disappointed at the course. I will give them another chance. August 11, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tight, hilly and tough Very tough and hilly course with undulations everywhere. Some holes you really don't know where the landing area is. August 8, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not so much Not very impressed with the value. More of a $50-$55 feel, not the $75 being charged. Played early, but never saw a bev cart and restaurant hadn't yet opened at turn (probably good to let early tee times know that in advance). Course is in decent shape minus the greens, some of which are really rough. I get that it's a goofy design and an expensive facility to maintain and operate, but if you're going to charge $75, try a little harder to create a memorable experience (at least during prime days/hrs). At this point in time, there are better options around town, but will keep HGL on my weekday/evening list for location reasons alone. August 5, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Greens are in bad shape I've always been a big fan of the Heritage and quite often take clients to this course. Great location, easily accessible, and even better rates during twilight. However, this course is getting "too" much play and not enough up-keep / maintenance. They're losing the greens at a quick rate and the failure of players to repair ball marks on the greens is taking a huge toll. There are no true rolls on puts and you're basically putting across landmine. Immediate action needs to be taken to save this great course. August 5, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great layout - needs tlc Great course but the staff seems a bit lazy. The greens need some attention, they were inconsistent and patchy. I play here often but starting to question why. Pulled up to the bag drop and unloaded my own bag while the attendant decided if she was going to come over or not. Encountered a group of 8 playing ahead of us (2). This could be an awesome place. I would NEVER pay full price to play here, unless the GUEST EXPERIENCE changes dramatically. July 25, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by EXCRUCIATINGLY SLOW, PACE OF PLAY UNMANAGED Played on a Saturday morning 9:20 t-time. Course already backed up and teed off 20 minutes late. Took 90 minutes to play 5 holes. Would have taken 5 - 5.5 hours to play and I just can't do a round that long. Went to clubhouse for refund. They offered rain check. Manager asked how many holes I got in and I told him 5. He gave me a pro-rated rain check!!!! Charged me for a very poor experience. Unbelievable. I won't go back. July 24, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Heritage Outing The course layout was nice. The greens were average because of the aerification. Some of the back tee box really need some work. July 21, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bring your A game Beautiful course! Sand on a few greens and some are a little ridiculous with undulations - but that was nice. It made it very challenging. Had the benefit of a member playing with us on the front nine so he told us where to hit our shots. We hit the back nine and a member rolled up on us and I assumed he'd join - but instead suggested he'd just play through us and hit. Not the biggest deal, but quite a difference from the first member we played with. Honestly, he's probably a jerk and not a reflection on the course. I'd play again - and honestly am on the fence now about joining as a member....meaning I was beyond the woods, looking pasture, seeing the fence from 500 yards prior to playing. Great course.
