Heritage Slow as Snails The Good: Fairways and greens in good condition; tee boxes were patchy. You received a coupon for two beers with your round. Practice facilities are nice. The Bad: Pace of play was so slow you never got any rhythm. I even blew past Hole # 9 to get in front of the group, just to discover the back nine was moving just at a snail pace. either a marshall needs to make rounds, or the course needs to spread out tee times. With 27 holes, you shouldn't have to crowd the field (especially on a Monday). July 22, 2014
Monday special The course is a good value on any day, but the Monday special rate makes it a great deal. Having the extra 9 holes (27 hole course) provides the option of avoiding slow players by selecting which back 9 you wish to play. The greens are challenging with all the ridges and there are many long holes, so it is best for the above average golfer. July 22, 2014
The greens a big and tough This was challenging day, since the front nine was played in a study down pour. So the course was very wet from several days of rain. The staff was excellent very friendly and supportive. Things were a little slow but to be expected since it was raining, worked itself out on several holes. The fairways we good since there was a lot of water on the course and the bunkers had standing water, but played around it. The greens were huge in comparison to what I am used to playing, but the pin placement was very tough, lot of undulation on the greens. My group got a weekend deal so made playing well worth the money. Would play again on a dry day and at normal price. July 21, 2014
Slowest round of my life 4 hours 15 to play 14 holes, ended up abandoning round. Never experienced anything like it. July 13, 2014
Good course for play Everything is over average except staff. Never say hello, thanks or enjoy even though I say hello. No smile on her face... July 11, 2014
Nice course, especially the hot deals Course was in great shape except the greens are extremely slow and long cut in my opinion. Pace of play would have been great except for the other groups slowing us down. July 9, 2014
Slow Slow Slow We played this course on a Monday when you would expect to be able to play fairly quickly for an early morning tee time. Front nine took 2:45 to complete. Group in front of us took multiple tee shots on holes 1,2,4,6,7,9. Did not allow a twosome to play through at any point as the course was extremely congested. Luckily by the time we made the turn, the staff was nice enough to allow us to switch over to the Legacy 9 for our back 9 since the final tee time on that course for the day was completed. stop doing 8 minutes between tee times!!! I play here a lot, usually early morning Saturdays. I typically wait 10-20 minutes past my tee time to tee off and this is usually scheduled for 7:30am. 8 minute tee times are killing the fun and quality of the golf course. Too many pitch marks make certain holes look and play badly. Unless the marshals are out to direct slow play (and oh my god people are slow) this course backs up. At least if you had 10 minute tee time intervals you could stop the round backing up a little bit on the first tee. The fact the course has 3 nines (but people only want to play 2 of them) should force the operators to schedule tee times appropriately. Heritage, if you try and squeeze too many rounds on your course, you'll lose more players than you think. You need to manage your clientele better and stop exploiting them. July 8, 2014
