Rated 3 out of 5 by jeaston2013 A lot of uneven lies
Good course. Pace of play was good because of poor weather conditions. Greens were still fast.
With a little more fairway maintenance this could be a really top notch course. Some tee boxes are rough.
#4 and #5 are always tough holes, par being a good score. #9 and #18 Get your attention also.
#11, par 3, played about 230 yds from the blues and was very difficult. Front desk staff was friendly and professional but nobody was at the snack bar to serve drinks. I always enjoy the challenge of this course, and the price was right with the hot deals from Golf Now. I will be back to to play this course again, for sure.

For the money this is must play for northern Atlanta. The one thing I will say that I did not like about the course is that driving range was closed, of all days, the first time I have picked up a club in two weeks and the day I played. The course was challenging from an undulation standpoint because you very rarely ever have a flat lie from the fairway and on the greens you were putting up or downhill all day. The greens did have a few bumps from unfixed approaches into them. All in all a good play at Heritage.

THE SLOWEST ROUND OF GOLF I'VE EVER PLAYED IN MY ENITRE LIFE... DO NOT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED.. It was so bad I had to write a review. Tee time for today Sunday 10/18/15 was 11:52am, checked in with starter at 11:48am. Ended up not teeing off until 12:05pm (should've been red flag# finished round at 5:58pm... I kid you not.... The good: Nice practice facilities #will definitely cont to use them), and a scenic piece of property, with a great location VERY close to in town life, which makes it an attractive option for public Atlanta golf. Cannot take that from Heritage. Greens roll pretty well, considering the amount of traffic, fairways are in good shape but expect mostly uneven lies, guessing undulations EVERYWHERE was the motivating spirit of the design, even on good tee shots, ball will be above or below your feet on approach... A fun challenge.. The Bad: NOTHING IS WORTH a 6+ hour round of golf. I've played hundreds of rounds and this was EASILY the slowest round. I've played 54 holes before in almost the same amount of time it took me to play 18. They really should hire 3-4 professional marshalls with stop watches and attitudes. Saw a few of the groups in front of us just quit, and it STILL took 6 hours... I don't know how that's possible.

We booked a foursome 24 hours in advance on GN. Upon arrival we were relegated to the inferior 9 "Tradition". After a normal front nine we were told by starter we would have to wait to start our back nine due to a tournament in process. After waiting almost 30 minutes and witnessing a multitude of openings where we could have squeezed in between the tournament groups, we were again sent to play the inferior 9 AGAIN. Starter suggested we try different tees this time so it might "feel" like a different 9. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

Rated 1 out of 5 by Formergreenskeeper Left after 9 holes
This course cant seem to get its pace of play squared away as its become notorious around town to avoid this course. They had a good rate so we tried to see if things have improved but of course they had not. We left after 9 holes as it had been over 3 hours. The first two holes took an hour to play. The layout and condition of the course are pretty good but I wouldn't recommend playing here unless you want to stay frustrated. If you have the reputation of 6 hours rounds and people abandoning your course mid-round and never coming back, you may want to have a marshall that is effective in keeping up the pace of play and/or spreading out your tee times a bit. Its a shame because this course is convenient but its worth to drive twice the distance for an enjoyable round that takes 4-4.5 hours, not 6-7.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mesechina Greens have recovered well this Fall
I had not played there in a while and was pleasantly surprised by the good green conditions and consistent roll. I played in overcast conditions with a bit of a mist on and off, but the course had drained very well after 24 hours of constant rain.
The tee boxes have seen some improvement and so have the fairways. I bought a hot deal tee time, so the value was fantastic. On top of that, I had the course practically to myself, as the forecast called for 60% chance of rain and it certainly rained steadily in many places around the course. I was just lucky that is did not affect my early afternoon round.
I commend the groundskeeping crew on the improvements they have made.
