Rated 3 out of 5 by Okay course for the money Need a beverage cart and restaurants in the worst way!!! Once you leave the club house you don't have access to food or drink until the end of the round. September 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Course. I haven't played this course in years and was surprised by the conditions. The greens were in great shape and the course as a whole was well kept. You can't beat the value either (I played for $20). There are a few issues. No chipping areas. Driving range only goes to 200 yards. And most importantly, there is no food or beverage service at all. It seems like a ruin of what used to be a nice country club. That being said, I will definitely be back to play again (with a cooler!). September 22, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by great course but no drinks The course was great the greens were in great shape the only problem was the club house was in bad shape and there was no food if you qant to eat befor your round or during it. There was no beer either but for the price the course was awsome September 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Southland is my land I always enjoy myself when I play at the Southlands. The is a fun and challenging course. You're on your on with cleaning your golf balls and hydrating yourself. And you're not able to walk the course because it's too big. August 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by PLEASE stay on the fairways !!! Nice course since remodeling. Greens very nice and quick. Fairways good, but you better stay on the fairway or its going to cost you some strokes getting out of the HIGH rough (even the first cut). Lots of hills and water on this course, and plenty of places to get into trouble. I'm a 23 handicapper and have never broken 100 on this course due to the difficulty and the rough. But nice course for the price especially if you get one of the discounted times. As others have said, need more water coolers on the course other than the one on #4 which you can also catch on #12 when you are on the back 9. August 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good value This was a very challenging course. There are few even lies, and the blinds shots are all over the place. Good course. I'll be back. DCA August 10, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not even close to a country club! Cart paths were like an earthquake just came through. Tees were in bad shape, I don't think the cups were changed in weeks, lots of rock in the fairways. Lots of blind shots with no good advice available. August 7, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Slow slow slow Play was extremely slow. We waited on average 8-10 minutes on each tee box. A marshal came around and said he would talk to the folks ahead of us. He came back and said we should play thru but there were actually 3 threesomes ahead of us so we left after the 12th hole. Took almost 4 hours to get thru 12! August 4, 2015
