Great course exceptional value We were looking for a course to play in the Savannah area and happened upon Crosswinds at $25, it is an excellent course in great condition, not many people playing on the day we played so pace of play was good, staff were really friendly and I would recommend to anyone July 11, 2014
Outstanding Golf Course This is one of the finest course I've played. It was a pleasure of mind/my wife to play such a beautiful course. I love the layout the condition of the course and the friendliness of the staff on the course. Just a first class act/place July 7, 2014

Good day. Great shape. Greens a little sandy were just plugged this week. June 22, 2014
Great Value! I did a $25 "hot deal" for this round, and it was, without a doubt, the nicest $25 course I've ever played. Even at the normal price of $48, it would have been a steal. I was staying in downtown Savannah, and it was only a 10-15 minute drive from there. There are plenty of shopping & dining options at this same exit. When I arrived, I found the clubhouse and pro shop to be typical of courses in this price range - not overly extravagant but very nice. The driving range did not inspire a lot of confidence, but don't let that scare you away. While the range looked a little rough and unkempt, it soon became clear that the staff focuses their efforts on the actual course where it counts. (The practice green was in perfect shape, however.) The pro shop told me I would be paired with another group, but I guess I missed them. When I arrived at the first tee, I introduced myself to the threesome waiting to start, and they invited me to join. I don't think they were members, but they did play the course regularly and served as gracious hosts for the day. The course was in outstanding condition from tee to green, and the greens rolled very true and at an appropriate speed for us amateurs. (I'd guess 8-10 stimp, maybe?) The only glitch I can recall is a little sogginess around 1 or 2 greens - you had to be careful not to dig a trench while chipping. This is very minor though, and just shows how hard I'm having to look to find something to complain about. One green (#12, I think) is really close to I-95, so the traffic noise is pretty bad, but by the time you reach the next tee, it's quiet again. The overall environment is very peaceful and natural. There are no houses along the course. You're close enough to the airport to see planes coming in and out overhead, but I never really noticed a noise issue with them. 3 of our 4-some decided to stay and play the 9-hole par-3 course afterwards. This is a fun little course that we were able to play for only a $10 add-on, and it only took about an hour. The greens had just been punched & sanded, so they didn't roll as nicely as the main course, but it was still in good shape. The shots range from 90-150 yards, depending on tees & hole placement. It's a great, fun way to work on your short game. June 16, 2014
