GREAT GOLF AT NEW LOWER RATES!

Owned and operated by The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort, the award-winning course is renowned for its challenging layout amongst ancient forests, vast salt marshes, dramatic island holes and comfortable clubhouse overlooking the vast lake that adds to the challenge of the course’s 9th hole. With its warm and welcoming clubhouse and exceptional staff, the King and Prince Golf Course is the perfect location for your next coastal Georgia golf vacation.

Originally designed by renowned architect Joe Lee, the King and Prince Golf Course's signature is the group of four spectacular holes gently carved from small coastal marsh islands and accessed by 800-feet of elevated cart bridges. This bold and brilliant design marks the highlight of the back nine, but Lee’s genius extends through the entire 18-hole, Par 72 course as it bends around towering oaks, along large areas of salt marshes, and across lakes and lagoons.

Over the years, the commitment to enhance the premier golf experience at The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort has remained the highest priority. That commitment is behind the investment in the extensive course restoration project completed in October 2009 that dramatically renewed and restored the King and Prince Golf Course, home of the Hampton Club.

With all that in mind, the Resort turned to Billy Fuller as the course architect and Medalist Golf as the builder to create a truly great golf experience. Mr. Fuller has served as course superintendent for Augusta National and his vision was to enhance the original design by Joe Lee.

All 18 greens have mini-verde, ultra dwarf Bermuda grass, with 60" green collars planted with Tifsport Bermuda. All 18 fairways have a new hybrid; Celebration Bermuda grass.

An extraordinary Practice Facility is open and includes a 6500 sq ft mini-verde putting green, a 3000 sq ft mini-verde chipping green and five target greens have been added to the driving range.

Course was in great comdition and the staff was super friendly. Ask for Carl if you decise to play at the King and Prince. Outstanding staff, very good value and conditions! April 3, 2013
Bring your wind game. Coastal flat in the marsh lands of Georgia. Excellent course to test all skills. Great sand if you get in bunker. Layout is traditional. Members course. March 27, 2013
The course was in great shape This is a fine golf course with a challenging layout. I would recommend this course to anyone coming to this area for winter play and the price through Golfnow was spectacular. March 1, 2013
Beautiful course This course has some of the most picturescue scenery. Hole 12 thru 15 are out in a beautiful marshland. You drive your cart acrosd long white wooden bridges. The greens are almost the level of TPC Sawgrass. Overall a wonderful course. January 27, 2013
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised at the layout, the conditions and the playability of the course. I would recommend this to any golfer looking for a great experience on St. Simons Island. January 22, 2013
Nice course We got a discount of more than 50% by booking in the afternoon. The course is in the north part the island about a 30 min drive from the Resort. The location information on Golf Now is not correct. We arrived 30 min early. The pro shop said we neede to wait until our tee off time to go. Seemed silly as no one went out in the 30 min we were on the range. When we were ready to go out, there were now 4 groups ready to go. We were 2 golfers and we were paired up with a 3rd single. As we had not played the course before, it was helpful to get some tips. The course is in good condition with some tricky greens for putting. Water comes into play on some holes. There is lots of sand bunkers. Some of the holes in them back 9 go out into the marsh which is unique. I would not pay the full price to play this course but would play again if I got a discounted green fee. January 10, 2013
Amazing marsh views. I played in the rain on a cold day and the greens were still firm yet receptive to approach shots. Drainage was excellent and the fairways were in very good condition. The course had just gone through a renovation and while most changes were well settled there was one tee box which was 20 percent dirt. That should be gone by 2014 with the looks of the rest of the course. There are no yardage stakes but they have yardages on all the sprinkler heads so bring your GPS or range finder if you have difficulty judging distances. January 8, 2013
the best back nine I have ever played. This is a quality course ,right from the time you arrive, the club house, parking, practice facilities all excellent. It has everything a golfer wants; front nine generally traditional layout but with greens that make you work. Back nine is spectacular starting with the picturesqueness 10th hole surrounded by water, then the next 4 holes you are playing in the marshland a unique experience. January 1, 2013
We all had a great time. Super staff and course. For a workin stiff like me, King and Prince is by far the premiere course in Glynn County. So when an old friend came for a visit, golfnow.com made it possible for me to treat my buddies to a really great round of golf. I've been playing golf here for 30 years and that golf course has NEVER disappointed me. Awesome place! Those four holes on the island out in the marsh are unmatched - at least in my world. ALWAYS in great condition... October 22, 2012
Simply put , a MUST PLAY COURSE Myself and 3 friends planned a 3 day golf trip. One of the guys owns a condo on St. Simons so we decided to play King and Prince the first day. Great decision. I have played many upscale courses in Ga. and this ranks among the top. Everything about the course top notch. Very challenging but risk reward friendly. From tee you green I was impressed with the beauty and condition of every hole. The next two days we played TPC of Sawgrass. If I was invited to play one of the courses again, it would be a coin flip.King and Prince is that good! September 25, 2012
Magnificent golf course I am a golf course superintendent and have played there quite a few times. However it has been about 6 years since I last played there. I heard they had done a renovation and could not wait to play it again. The layout was already perfect, and now the conditions are as we'll. This courses should be on everyone's must play list. If you are within an hour of it you will not be upset about the drive. Great challenging layout and some beautiful scenery. Can't wait to go back and play again. September 23, 2012
:Nicely Maintained, Challenging and Scenic" Played this course from the Blue tees. Nice layout, well maintained and very scenic. You play four of the holes directly in the marsh so being able to carry the ball over the marsh is a given. Nicely laid out course with pleasant staff and variety of challenge makes this a nice course to play. GOLFNOW made the cost a real deal with $55.00 off regular greens fees. September 23, 2012
