course is a little scruffy in spots, but it is february like to play mike young designs, so I added it to the list.....cannot really complain too much for conditioning in february, but you can tell funding is a problem....I really like the flow of the front 9, but thought back 9 was a little more tight and rugged (probably due to more extreme land being used on back) dormant turf had not been cleaned up for awhile and grass acted as dust all over the place...could have been due to deluge of rain recently...greens were slow but smooth, so they were acceptable several spots had drainage issues, which I have heard before...need to play in season to see if things dry out...for price we paid, it was acceptable and I will give mike a chance to see what he can do before I can recommend February 18, 2013
Great crouse, front easy, back tough! This is my 2nd time playing this course. If I play again, i will play the front twice. It is a great course and when I am in the area I will always play this course. I highly recommend to anyone in the area. January 21, 2013
Great design poor condition This layout is different than anything I have played in the area, and in a good way. Even though the course is fairly wide open the trees, bunkers and mounding frame every tee shot nicely. I was very disappointed with the condition of the entire course. The greens were slow and rolled poorly. They also seemed to have some drainage issues around the greens that they seem to be starting to address. I will play in again in the summer and hopefully conditions are better then January 21, 2013
Great bargain at a fun course! This is a great course for the beginner & intermediate golfer. The fairways are pretty wide but you have to deal w/ some blind tee shots & tricky greens. The course is always in good condition & the staff very friendly. A great bargain normally & even better using the Golf Now discount. December 28, 2012
great views and good greens played the course for the first time during dormancy and the greens were still somewhat green and rolling well. i can imagine the course being very pretty in the spring and summer months. the course is striaght forward and not too tricked-up; although a couple holes play severly down hill and require some thought when selecting a club, so as to not go into the junk. no lay-out signs on holes or scorecard, but after playing a couple of times you should have no problems. cheapest rates can be had on golfnow $20-$35. Great course with a superb value! This course was outstanding with tons of characteristics! The 19th hole is currently under renovation but coming together. The pro shop is also under a change... actually, I think the entire place is under new ownership and are making a strong effort to improve the faciity inside and out. I would play this course again and again! November 19, 2012
Investment once again being put into course. Very good greens. Many trees recently removed. Improving drainage around the greens. Rough very playable, no searching for balls just off the fairway. Greens roll great with adequate pace. Course renamed The Fields. November 12, 2012
