View Tee Times

The famed golf course architect, Willard Byrd wove 18 links-style holes into the gently rolling countryside, giving each its own breathtaking view of the surrounding woodlands. Lush green Tif 419 fairways contrast with the golden long Bahia rough leading to huge Tif Dwarf Bermuda greens filled with subtle breaks. Gracious round traps dot the entire course lending additional definition to the setting. As you finish #10, climb to the top of the hill behind the green where two large pecan trees and an ancient pear tree grow and turn back toward the tee. You will be graced by one of the prettiest golf vistas in the country. Golf Digest ranked George T. Bagby the “6th best new affordable public course” in the U.S.* This ranking, plus on-site lodge and restaurant, make this a great golf destination.

Nice greens Nice layout. Good greens. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good quality course at a fair price. Greens were very good. Had some mole cricket problems in the fairways but still they were nice. May 10, 2015

Little gem This course has a little of everything you want on a course. December 29, 2014
GREAT SHAPE THE COURSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE EXCEPT FO THE BUNKERS WHICH ARE FULL OF ROCKS. IF YOU HAVE A BUNKER SHOT YOU WILL HIT A ROCK WHICH IS UNFORTUNATE BECAUSE THE REST OF COURSE IS PERFECT. October 27, 2014
mzbc 10 men from our church played 2 days on a golf package, stayed in the group lodge. Good deal Course is a fun course, greens & tee boxes in good shape, no complaints. Fairways thin in some areas, not a big deal because it's not entire fairway. New sand in traps need to be sifted for rocks. Good package deal especially if you stay in group lodge. Buffet breakfast great. People you deal with are friendly & helpful. Not first time doing this, will go back. Never crowded October 25, 2014
Rocks in the Bunker - watch out for the kids 4 3-somes of what appeared to be teenagers ruined the round by teeing off on the back nine around 3 pm...They need to learn etiquette and how to waive a single player through. Play ground to a halt - took 30 minutes on #10 after I made the turn in just under 2 hours. Walked off the course and explained the situation to the woman in the pro shop. She was nice, but I don't get a sense she has any flexibility around a situation they let occur. Comment to the course - don't let groups go off the back nine when there is virtually nobody on the course!!! Also, rocks in the bunkers were huge - hit a sand shot and dinged up my wedge pretty good. Rocks were about half the size of the golf balls - I know that because several came out and landed on the green. New sand, but looks like they just went out and dug it up. Plus, it's heavy litter-box sand - like hitting out of wet cement. I can see why the locals like it - it's cheap and pretty good, but greens were very slow and ground was hard. Had shots from the fairway where it felt like hitting off a parking lot - I typically take a good divot, had shots where my club literally bounced off the ground at impact and only took the grass lightly covering the red clay. Don't think I will be back... October 16, 2014
