Playing 6,800 yards from the Championship tees, this “core” West Pines golf course features Crenshaw bent greens, four sets of tees to ensure an enjoyable experience for the golfers of all skill levels, a full practice range and putting green, and is situated less then 2 minutes off of I-20 (you can see it from the interstate). Of particular interest, is the "feel" of the West Pines golf course featuring rolling hills, and numerous wooded areas. With several adjoining fairways, the golf course has plenty of room to play and offers beautiful vistas throughout the round. Additionally, the close proximity of greens and tees minimizes time spent in walking / riding between holes, insuring rounds of 4 hours or less even on the busiest of days.

The result of widespread renovation was a brand new golf course with 18 new holes, a practice tee and putting green. The course re-opened on December 26, 2005 to rave reviews, playing over 30,000 rounds in its first full year of operation. In the fall of 2006, the new clubhouse opened in time to host the City of Douglasville's annual charity golf tournament. With the completion of this final phase of construction, West Pines Golf Club is proudly serving the residents of Douglasville and its surrounding communities.

greens in good shape great pace of play greens running fast friendly staff April 5, 2013
Great course and great greens Really enjoyed the pristine greens and no real lag time between the holes so no wait. Great value for what we paid and would return to play as well as bring other friends. March 18, 2013
Greens! Don't let the layout fool you. This is a really nice course and will give you a nice challenge. Very impressed with the condition of the greens for this time of year. I look forward to playing there again. Very well managed. March 18, 2013
Not a bad course, but slow As the title indicates, the course isn't bad. But the pace of play is pretty slow. Several forced carries that may not be too friendly to novice golfers. March 17, 2013
Nice course, will play again. Course layout gives a player good opportunities to shoot a good score if you play smart, get greedy on one or two holes, then its better luck next time. March 2, 2013
Nice Course For winter time, this course was in good shape. I really enjoyed it for my first time playing it. I would say anybody visiting the Douglasville area to play this course. February 11, 2013
Fun course. Good condition for February Good course. In good shape for the winter. Pleasant staff February 4, 2013
Course plays well Best course to play after a heavy rant. Drains well. Greens are fast and smooth January 24, 2013
The greens are in excellent shape this time of year I think this might become my go-to course. Be quick when booking a tee time on Golfnow because they fill up fast; a testament to how popular this course is. This course is set up to play golf nonstop. When you start out on the first hole, you don't see the club house again until the 18th. The cart girl was very attentive and even had coffee which was perfect on a cold day. The course drains well even after several days of rain. December 29, 2012
Good course to play. The course was in good shape, but play was slow (a 5+ hour round) as could be expected on a beautiful day after Thanksgiving. The greens were faster than expected, but were true rolling (if the break was read correctly). Overall it was an exceptional day to be on the course playing. November 25, 2012
great course, greater value We started later in the day and First tee was a great hole, Tee boxes manicured and gairways in great shape. Greens were in excellent shape and had the course in great shape. November 6, 2012
Avoid I would not recommend playing this course. The staff was rude, the course was in awful shape, and the location is terrible. A couple holes run right alongside 20 for a lovely view. Also, the layout is just not fun to play. I've never used a 4 iron to tee off on so many par 4s and 5s before (hazards and water in really inconvenient places). The grass was dying left and right, the greens were in really rough shape, and the bunkers were like hitting out of gravel. I wouldn't pay more than $10 to play there, so if it's any more than that you can find much better courses elsewhere. November 2, 2012
Course great shape, greens fast and smooth. Staff very helpful. Course is in great shape and is very challenging. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a warm welcome and they went out of their way to assist me before, during, and after my round. October 31, 2012
Fun to play Great value for the money. I enjoy the course every time I play there. October 18, 2012
This a challenging, enjoyable course The greens at West Pines are usually in good shape, very consistant. I like the variety of holes and the choices you have of whether to hit driver or less on several of the par 4's and par 5's. It's a tough course if you're not playing well but it's fair and you can score well if you keep the ball in play. I have a special affinity for this course as it was the first course where I broke 80. October 5, 2012
Decent for the price The course is in pretty good condition. The rangers should work better to speed play though. October 5, 2012
Adequate conditions for the price. Affordable! Greens are in decent shape. Fairways could be better. September 26, 2012
Typical Municipal Although enjoyable to play it is certainly middle of the road for local courses in area. The normal green fees do not match what you might think you may be getting. Would not play this course without finding a “hot deal”. Compared to other courses in area for same price I would go elsewhere. Has some challenging holes that you must be able to drive straight or you will be either on a neighborhood street or even on the interstate highway. Have played twice will not play again on weekend due to slow play. September 21, 2012
Punches above it's weight When I think "Muny" course, I think barely passable. This place is waaaaay better than what I've come to expect from Muny's. Not private or semi-private conditions, but a good course with plenty of challenges. A few holes will eat your lunch if you don't know where to go, good to have an experienced looper with you!
