This course boasts an interesting, mid-length layout that places more emphasis on accuracy and a deft short game than power. Just 6,775 yards from the gold tees and a modest 6,000 from the blues, this Steve Melnyk design has only a handful of par 4s with appreciable length, with several barely exceeding 300 yards from the blues.

Located in the beautiful, unspoiled farm countryside just north of Alpharetta, Trophy Club of Atlanta is carved out of heavily wooded terrain to create a challenging yet playable course. Now featuring Champion Bermuda greens, Trophy Club of Atlanta is one of best conditioned courses in metro Atlanta. Nominated as Golf Digest's "Best New Public Course" when opened in 1992, it was designed by DJ DeVictor and ABC-TV Golf Analyst Steve Melnyk. Measuring 6,774 yards from the championship tees, it offers multiple tee locations for every skill level.

Great Course I like the Course set up. Wish It was a little cheaper. Grass can be but a little more. Can't find the ball even if you hit a little bit off fairways. I like to not lose my ball if its hit in play! Please Grass don't eat it up! December 5, 2014
great course Course was still wet from recent raim and played somewhat longer. Greens were fast and true. November 25, 2014
Bad day of golf They need to blow off the course more often. They need to trim down the rough a little bit more your ball just disappears November 24, 2014
Great Layout but showing its age This course has the potential to be a favorite of mine, especially since I live 10 minutes from the course. Great layout that commands skill with all clubs, not just the driver. Unfortunately this course is in need of a capital infusion to upgrade the facilities, including the driving range, clubhouse and most certainly the cart paths. The green fees are not commensurate with what you get on the course. November 16, 2014
Don't bother Staff is extremely rude, especially to non-members. We played this course for a tournament. When we signed up, a week prior, there was no one in our division, which struck me as odd, because there are usually 10-20. Two others who had never played the course signed up last minute. I now know why the numbers were so low. The club "ambassador" ranted to our group of walking JUNIOR golfers mid-hole in the 9th fairway because we were "playing too slow" - we had teed off 2 hours and 10 minutes prior. This wasn't a polite "pick up the pace" interaction. It was an extremely rude and demeaning confrontation. Our round was complete in 4 hours, 45 minutes. The course is iffy at best, and includes an actual OUTHOUSE (not a port-a-potty - far worse because this is never cleaned or pumped) where the door is so warped it won't come close to closing. Cart path sections are horribly shifted to extremely unlevel positions and cracked, which explains the condition of the carts. Lots of unrepaired ball marks on the greens which were slow. There isn't much differentiation between the fairways and the rough. The quality of the course is that of a marginal public course, and when you factor in the staff and amenities, it's not worth the time and effort to play here. We certainly won't be back. Good, short course Course was in great shape. We were warned to stay out of the rough and in hindsight, I wish I had heeded that advice more. All in all, this is a short course. Several par 4 greens are driveable. Loved the elevation change. November 1, 2014
Solid bang for buck After a morning of rain, the greens still rolled at a 9 which is proof to a well managed course. Tee boxes we not all flat and at times narrow. October 30, 2014
Very mediocre Played 18 with a group of friends and while we were right on the tail of the group in front without being able to see the group behind we were still nagged by staff every 3rd hole to make sure we were keeping up with the pace of the course. Food is standard hot dog or brat w chips - nothing special about the clubhouse. All in all - nice course but nothing special. October 26, 2014
