This course boasts an interesting, mid-length layout that places more emphasis on accuracy and a deft short game than power. Just 6,775 yards from the gold tees and a modest 6,000 from the blues, this Steve Melnyk design has only a handful of par 4s with appreciable length, with several barely exceeding 300 yards from the blues.

Located in the beautiful, unspoiled farm countryside just north of Alpharetta, Trophy Club of Atlanta is carved out of heavily wooded terrain to create a challenging yet playable course. Now featuring Champion Bermuda greens, Trophy Club of Atlanta is one of best conditioned courses in metro Atlanta. Nominated as Golf Digest's "Best New Public Course" when opened in 1992, it was designed by DJ DeVictor and ABC-TV Golf Analyst Steve Melnyk. Measuring 6,774 yards from the championship tees, it offers multiple tee locations for every skill level.

Not Quite What I Expected Went here on the advice of a friend. Paid $66 for a mid-morning, mid-week round and was disappointed at the value I received. Practice facility was in OK condition, though the sand bunkers looked like they hadn't been cared for in weeks. Course was very narrow on nearly all holes. Felt like I could only use my driver on 6 or 7 holes given the layout. Fairways were in so-so shape. Cart-path only on 4 holes, not including the Par 3s. Greens on the course were in nice condition. Was hoping for more than I received. September 13, 2014
Trophy Club North Atlanta Nice place for the price, good practice range, putting green and chipping areas, sand trap for practice needs TLC. Will go back often. September 13, 2014
Very very nice Everything was really good. The staff, all staff, were very friendly. The course was lush. The greens rolled true and fast. The range is nice. The "turn and burn" burger was great. A little dissapponited the marshal didn't speed up an unbelievely slow twosome in front of us, but they disappeared after two holes st the turn. I could play this course all the time. Fast greens Love this course, the layout is absolutely beautiful. The greens are still aerated but they should be top shape in a few weeks. Greens were EXTREMELY fast, easy to 3 even 4 putt. Nice course, will definitely be back! September 8, 2014
Great course for the money Got a fire sale price and would come back again with special deal. Good practice facility to warm up. Back nine was more fun and challenging. Greens were in great shape. Took about 5hrs on Saturday afternoon. August 24, 2014
Good location...poor course / facility quality TCA is in a prime location in Alpharetta which is a big plus considering most public courses in ATL take a while to reach. Because of this the course is consisently full and popular with the metro Atlanta public golfers. Unfortunatley, that is really where the positives stop. Compared to other courses of same price range this course is underwhelming. The course, facilities, maintenance conditions and clubhouse are tired, lazily tended and underinvested. Greens have many unrepaired marks, bunkers were not raked, burn spots on fairways, tee boxes chewed up, carts are old and broken and the scorecards were photocopies. As it stands, this would be a good $30 course. If management invested more money it could be great. August 18, 2014
cobrahead it was an average course would not pay more than $30 to play. the golf carts remind me of a hay wagon no suspension which was bad because a cart path is very rough August 17, 2014
Nice holes Good variety of hole lay out. I used most every club in my bag at least once. Very good condition except for a few bare spots, but typically not in high traffic playing areas. I think a scatter type entrance and exit on & off the fairway would be better than their gate idea, to eliminating some of those spots. August 16, 2014
