This course boasts an interesting, mid-length layout that places more emphasis on accuracy and a deft short game than power. Just 6,775 yards from the gold tees and a modest 6,000 from the blues, this Steve Melnyk design has only a handful of par 4s with appreciable length, with several barely exceeding 300 yards from the blues.

Located in the beautiful, unspoiled farm countryside just north of Alpharetta, Trophy Club of Atlanta is carved out of heavily wooded terrain to create a challenging yet playable course. Now featuring Champion Bermuda greens, Trophy Club of Atlanta is one of best conditioned courses in metro Atlanta. Nominated as Golf Digest's "Best New Public Course" when opened in 1992, it was designed by DJ DeVictor and ABC-TV Golf Analyst Steve Melnyk. Measuring 6,774 yards from the championship tees, it offers multiple tee locations for every skill level.

Good layout Usually a good course but perhaps fairways and greens are suffering from harsh winter cold. April 18, 2014
Good twilight golf Good value, good rate of play on late Saturday afternoon April 14, 2014
Where's the grass??? Tee boxes, nothing but sand, fairways had next to no grass (other nearby courses in much better shape right now), greens were smooth but Augusta fast (don't be above the whole ever, if you miss the cup the ball rolls off of the green on most holes). Wait until later in the year to at here, not a lot of fun playing off of hard pan all day! April 13, 2014
Better markings Enjoyed round. Marking from hole to hole could be better. Will return. April 12, 2014
Be esters But be fast cause of you aint down to travel you got to get up and down son! March 31, 2014
Very disappointed This was my first time playing at this course as it was halfway between me and my playing partner. The day was 65 and sunny, but a bit windy. The course was in terrible shape. While we are all used to winter conditions, the fairways were like rock and the grooming was non-existent. To add injury to insult, the carts at this facility have seen better days and the cart paths were all broken up. I don't know how many members they have here, but it sure needs some TLC. On the positive side, the greens ran true and the bunkers had plenty of fluffy sand. Also, the grill in the clubhouse looked to be nice, although I did not eat anything. I would not go back here unless the deal was just too good to pass up and all other area courses were full. March 28, 2014
A pleasure to play Easily one of the best public courses north of the perimeter, and with deals under $30 during the week it's a lot of bang for the money. Course plays slightly longer than it looks on the card (6,001 yards from the blues#. At least 12 chances to hit the driver which I always appreciate. Few forced carries and many holes that reward you for turning it slightly left or right off the tee, hazards are fair and fairways forgiving, there's some room to miss on all sides. Only lost one ball #sliced OB) then finished round on ball #2. Great that both 9s are bookended with par 5s improving chances of opening and closing with pars or birdies. March 26, 2014
It's March -fairways are dead an packed down Had a nice out on the course - fairways are dead and packed down. But this march. The greens are painted green but the ball rolled very nice. The whole facility is great. The carts seemed new. It was definitely a real nice value for a March day. March 21, 2014
